Chapter 23: Rivals's Conflicts

Boruto POV

The village is in ruins. Hokages stone faces destroyed. Hokage's office not in sight. Rubbles and debris everywhere. Shinobi scattered across the village.

And yet I am,

Late

Sarada POV

I couldn't believe what we saw after entering the warp portal.
Destruction of Konoha.

This means... It's not a dream.

"Boruto. Should we-"
Before I could finished my question. I turn around and he is already gone.

"That idiot." I grinned.

"What should we do, captain?"

Mitsuki asked me when I faced him.

I can't afford to let more casualty. I need to find lord Seventh and the other jonins.

"You two, go search for others survivors and help the villagers to evacuate. I'll try to find Boruto and Lord Seventh." I ordered them.

"Do you need some backup??" Sumire asked.

"No, just go find the others. I can handle this myself"

"Roger that, Captain" they said before vanished to the village.

Sarada then turn around and dashed to the village.
"Boruto hang in there. Mom, wherever you are. I hope you safe."

Boruto POV

As I walk through the remainings of the Hokage building I felt a familiar sensational. A distinct chakra, 2 years ago.

"Looking for your dad huh, you spoilt brat?"

A voice heard from the building.

"Show yourself!" I yelled.

As I said that, the silhouette walked closer and closer to me. And it was revealed to me....

"Nice to meet  you again, Boruto"

N-no way. It was him.
Kawaki.

"K-Kawaki!!? But how!? Isn't Mitsuki told me that-"

"Mitsuki told you? I can't believe he really think that I'm willing to do that."

"That's means-"

"Yes. I deserted my Shinobi carrier. I realized that the one that will doom this world, is none other than the shinobi itself. Villages declared war on each others, damning the world and the cycle of destruction continues until this world reduce to dust. So I decided, this organisation 'Kara', is the most suitable place for me to end the era of Shinobi."

Normal POV

Boruto was left speechless after what Kawaki said.

"So now you actually are here, make my task to take that right eye of you easier." Kawaki said before charging towards Boruto with his staff.

Before the attacked land on him, Boruto quickly open a scroll summoning a sword and blocking the attack.

"You said you want to end the era of Shinobi aren't you? Well, defeat me first!!!" Boruto yelled as he pointed his sword towards Kawaki.

Boruto quickly mold chakras in his left hand and single handedly does the  hand signs.
Wind style: Massive Gale Palm

He punched with his palm and sent Kawaki flying directly towards the Hokages Stone Faces.

Boruto use the Body Flicker technique to teleport and try to slash Kawaki, but he blocked it using the modificated arm.

"Good, now you getting serious aren't you?" Kawaki said.

"Let's finish this."
