Turn around

The night when Rowoon decided to give up, Chani reread all the long messages he screened shot on his phone that they sent each other. Messages they threw when they had an argument, when they make up or when they had a rough time to catch up because of loaded schedules. He reread all of them, every sentence

He gathered all the pictures they had together, placed them inside a box one by one. Chani still adores that one image of Rowoon when he is unaware that the younger was taking a shot of him. The memories they had on photo papers eventually appeared so fresh like it was just yesterday. They were so happy.

Time flew by so fast. Few promotions ended, they held concerts, had individual activities, success in Rowoon's drama and as these months passed by like a train, Chani's aching stopped the moment he ingested the reality that healing doesn't come from the same person who hurt him. He and his other hyungs helped him get through the rough road. Whatever he did in the past opened him into a wider aspect of his fragility. It showed him his own sensitivies as well as his ticklish spot. Made him realize that he could be desperate as well as he could be this loving being who carries so much love and affection to give. It was one hell of a year full of rollercoaster rides.

All the members decided to gather around the living room and talk about where to go for their 2 day vacation. Everyone is excited because they can finally experience the blissful feeling of relaxing after a long ass year of working.

After a long discussion they finally came up with a plan to go and relax ina private resort that Inseong owns in Haeundae.

Everyone stood up and moved so fast as if they are being chased by a cheetah.

Youngbin helped Rowoon take all the drinks inside the car while Inseong and Dawon carefuly took all the meat in the refrigerator and placed it in a box full of ice.

"Aish be careful" inseong wailed at dawon after almost dropping the few remaining meat.

"Okay everyone we good now?" Youngbin asked excitedly.

"Lets go!"

They are on their way to the resort and Rowoon can't stop himself from staring at Chani who is laughing extremely together with Hwiyoung and Inseong

Juho noticed his friend "Beautiful isn't it?"

Rowoon looked at him with an expresionless face

"What a waste Rowoon-ssi" Juho teased causing the taller to put his earphones on and turned away from him as if he didn't hear what he said

It was already passed 6pm when they arrived at the place. Chani, Hwiyoung and Inseong helped the others take out all their stuff in the car.

Taeyang and Juho are in charged of preparing dinner. The others patiently waited for the food and played some board games.

Chani and Hwiyoung are happily playing cham cham cham non-stop like there's no tomorrow. Out of all the members playing, the two of them are the most hyper ones.

Rowoon still can't help himself from stealing glances at Chani.

Chani noticed Rowoon from his rear view. The younger turned his head towards him but the taller didn't look away. Rowoon locked eyes with him and he swore that his face is burning. He gulped, never breaking Chani's stare.

Chani felt the sudden awkwardness and so he decided to look away and ask Hwiyoung some stupid question "Do you want to be an astronaut?"

Hwiyoung frowned not sure if he is about to laugh at Chani's random question.

"You're hungry. Lets go and eat"

As soon as they finished dinner, Chani decided to have some quality time with himself and sat alone at the seaside.

Everything just feels so refreshing. The sound of the waves and the fresh air. Chani wanted this so much. He closed his eyes, feeling the strong breeze that is invading all his being.

He noticed that someone with a familiar scent sat beside him causing him to open his eyes and check on the other to confirm if he is the same person whom he is thinking.

There, he saw Rowoon, he knew it. That familiar scent, he knew it was him.

"Oh, w-what are you doing here?" he asked while scratching his neck. "Where are the others?"

"I sent them away" Rowoon laughed.

There was nothing but pure silence for a moment. They can feel the awkwardness that is starting to kick in once again.

"It's nice seeing you smile like that again" Rowoon said, almost a whisper as he sat next to the younger on the white sand. "I'm glad i came here." he added "How have you been?"

A soft smile appeared on Chani's lips "Hmmm, i'm fine. Still functioning so far. You?" he let out a soft chuckle

Rowoon breathe in sharply and tried keep himself together "Im fine too"

"How's lovelife? You and Hyeyoon? Are things going well between you, lovebirds?" Chani teasingly asked Rowoon and hit his shoulder lightly

"I guess so" Rowoon replied making the younger smile.

Rowoon saw that sweet smile Chani gave and his heart started beating so fast.

"How are you?" He looked away unaware that he is asking the same question he asked moments ago.

Chani gave Rowoon a confused look not sure if the older is making fun of him for asking the same question

"Ey, i told you i'm fine" he answered anyway. "But if youre asking me how was i the day you left, I'm gonna be honest and say that i was really torn and wasted" the younger said and the vibe is becoming a lot more serious. "But dont worry, i began rebuilding myself months ago, brick by brick. It took me a long time to be okay but im glad i did"

The older was stunned and had nothing but diminished words and empty sense all in his mind. Rowoon cant understand what he just felt after hearing those deep words from Chani. He wanted Chani to be happy, but he strangely wishes and hopes that Chani won't fall inlove with someone else. Rowoon knew very well how selfish it is for him to wish something like that when in the first place he was the one who fucked up and hurt Chani, but he himself can't understand his own thoughts

Rowoon was about to say something, but suddenly his phone made a loud sound notifying him of the new message he received. He sighed and groaned in frustration as he was unable to continue with what he has to say. It was a message from Hyeyoon. Bad timing it is.

Chani awkwardly smiled and stood up allowing Rowoon to have his private time with Hyeyoon.

"I'll go now" Chani gave Rowoon the sweetest smile. The kind of smile that freezes the taller's knees, that falters his heart from beating normally, from keeping his words ajar yet flustered.

Rowoon mumbled to himself as he watched Chani go

"Turn around, Kang Chani. Look at me. I miss you. Please...allow me to love you again"
