2 months after Chani and Hyeyoon's heart to heart talk, all the members went out to grab some coffee at the nearby cafe.
Rowoon noticed that Chani have been looking at his phone all throughout the day, smiling and sometimes laughing over something
He sat beside the younger and gave him the drink he ordered "You're running out of battery life"
"What?" Chani asked and gave the taller a confused look
"You've been on your phone the whole day"
"Hmm, o...kay. Is there any problem with that?" Chani replied causing Rowoon let out a soft giggle
Rowoon licked his lips before he answered
"Nothing, i just find it quite unusual since you're not the type who looks at the phone from time to time."
Chani smiled and nodded before he gave attention to his phone again
"Are you avoiding me, Chani?" the taller male asked softly. He noticed that Chani has been avoiding him for weeks ever since they were caught kissing by Hyeyoon.
"Me?" he frowned "I'm not. If i'm avoiding you, i wouldn't have been sitting beside you now right?" he laughed and turned his gaze back on his precious phone.
Chani's phone suddenly lit up notifying him that he has received a new message from someone which caught Rowoon's attention

"Who is Ki Jung?" he thought to himself
They were all about to go home but Rowoon still couldn't stop thinking about that guy whom Chani is texting. It made a lot of sense as to why the younger is very busy with his phone the whole day.

It was a calm Saturday afternoon and the boys just finished a one round of practice. They all decided to take a break from all the dancing and stuff. Some went downstairs to buy some snacks at the convenience store while Youngbin, Jaeyoon, Inseong, Rowoon and Chani just stayed at the practice room, resting.
Chani excused himself. Rowoon's eyes then followed him until he reached the door.
It took the younger 15 minutes before he came back. But this time, he is with someone, someone whom they've never met before.
The members were all left shocked at the sight of the boy together with someone so handsome.
"Guys, this is Ki Jung. My friend" he started. "I met him at a restaurant a month ago. We were both alone at that place so we decided to have a little conversation"
"Hello. O Sole Mio is my jam" the young boy stated causing the members to laugh in unison
All the members except for one went to greet Chani's new friend.
Rowoon sat alone in the corner of the practice room, unable to process what he was seeing. He thought he was being crazy for putting color to the simple friendly relationship Chani has with that guy, but the moment Rowoon's eyes met his, he knew that the guy is already head-over-heels for Chani when he saw how he stares at the younger
Rowoon started flaring up the moment Ki Jung wrapped his arms around Chani
"Is he your property?" Rowoon suddenly asked causing everyone to look at his direction with a serious face
"Oh you must be Rowoon. Hi nice to meet you bro" Ki Jung wanted to offer a firm handshake but Rowoon's rudeness came out and rejected
"Stop squishing the kid. You're hurting him" he replied scornfully
Chani laughed sarcastically at Rowoon's answer "I'm not a kid"
"Yes you are. You talked to a stranger just because you are all alone in a restaurant" he smirked causing the younger to glare at him
Chani was too flustered to reply and so he decided to pull his friend out of the practice room
"What the fuck was that Rowoon?" Youngbin sternly asked the taller who look distracted
Rowoon sighed before he got up from his seat "I have to go"

Chani prepared coffee for him and his friend and sat down at the company's cafeteria
"That Rowoon guy is really handsome" Ki Jung finally breaks the long moment of silence
The sudden compliment about Rowoon caused Chani to turn his gaze at his friend
"Hmm. You think so?" he asked softly
"I think so"
"Well, here's a thing" he started "You can't date him. That 'Rowoon guy' is not single"
Ki Jung noticed that Chani's smile melts away after what he said
"Oh really?" he bit his inner cheek after finding out that the tall guy is taken. "By the way, you two look so close. The way you diss each other earlier gave me goosebumps" he laughed. "Wow, friendship"
Chani became silent for a moment, and Ki Jung knows that his silence says more than a thousand words
"Kinda" the softness in the younger's voice has faded as he replies
"Chani-ya, you don't seem so happy about it. I'm disappointed" he said, brow furrowed in concern
Chani remained calm and acted as if the question is not bothering him. He doesn't want to let Ki Jung know that him and Rowoon dated in the past since he wanted to avoid that topic and just move on, slowly, but surely
"Ey, of course i'm not happy. Did you not see how savage he was infront of so many people?" he explained, hesitant to admit everything to his friend
Ki Jung saw how Chani laughed, how he smiles, how he talks to people for the past weeks and from there and then he knew that Chani is not an ordinary boy.
He wants to see more of Chani smiling and laughing. He wants the boy to open up to him and just be with him.
From that moment, he realized that Chani has always been so different. Someone who could make his world spin and still see his face everywhere.
"I like him...i think i like him"
