Chani woke up the next morning with Rowoon not on his side anymore. He spent a couple of minutes in deep silence. He was just there, putting barriers from everything that came cascading in his mind, trying to filter which part of Rowoon's action last night were real and which one he pulled up a mask on out of pity. He felt tired. His mind never stopped untangling last night's memories
"Don't you want to ask me where Rowoon went?" a familiar voice spoke from behind the door
Chani just smiled coldly after hearing the sudden question from Inseong who is now sitting at the edge of the bed
"He went somewhere and took care of some stuff. He's fine. Don't worry" Inseong flashed a smile and brushed Chani's hair. "Are you gonna be okay Chani?"
Chani nodded "Of course"
"Wait for him" Inseong once again gave the younger a huge smile before he left the room.

"I already finished the last stanza of the poem I made for you" Hyeyoon said as she hands Rowoon the piece of tissue paper with her writings written on it. "Can you read it for me?"
The male took the tissue paper, hands trembling. She stared blankly at Rowoon for a brief moment, but the taller male still couldn't bring himself to look up.
"I love you and I will tell you everyday. Everyday until you forget those things that hurt" he started. "I hate the things that hurts you and how i wish i could take them away. If only it could be done, I'll do it for sure..." he paused when he noticed that he had already read the last sentence which made him quite confused and so he looked at Hyeyoon who is now trying to hold back her tears.
"...but it cannot be done, because you wont let me do it. I can't do it Rowoon" Hyeyoon tried to control her breathing, looking at the quiet boy in front of her. "Just tell me. There's no easy way to do this. Do you love me?"
"You know that i love you"
"Do you love him?"
Rowoon stayed quiet for a while. "I can't stand seeing you hurt"
Hyeyoon reached out for Rowoon's eyes, trying to shut them close "Close your eyes, so if ever o get hurt, you wont see it"
"I'm sorry. I tried, but i can't let him go" he answered, eyes closed tightly, his teeth digging into his lips
Hyeyoon already saw this coming. She already knew what Rowoon's answer would be, but she felt her heart split into two. She was always aware that it will be hard, but she never knew how hard it was until she heard it straight from the person she loves.
"Do you want to end this?" Hyeyoon asked, breath shaking and tears falling "Rowoon i want to end us in a good note with me still wishing you all the best in life. I want to end us thanking you for all the memories worth having and heartaches worth enduring. I already told you there's no easy way to do this"
"I'm so sorry" Rowoon answered, eyes still closed
Hyeyoon fully understood what Rowoon wanted and she almost felt like she shouldn't give him what he wanted. It hurts more than ever, but it was over. It was over too quickly and there's nothing really much she can do about it.
Without waiting for any response from the taller, she stood up and left as her tears fell in steady steams. It wasn't easy, but it was the right thing to do. She never regret loving Rowoon. It hurts her how briskly it is to see someone else occupy the spot she thought that belonged to her. It hurts, but its okay. It's gonna be okay.
