Two weeks ago.......

I was sitting at my desk organizing papers when Ichika approached me. "Hey, I just got done talking to Chifuyu. She told me to send you to her office."

"Did she say what she wanted to talk about?"

"Nope. Just that she had a surprise."

I pondered for a second and then spoke. "Okay." I smiled, getting up from my chair. "Thanks. Guess I better head over there." I stepped out of the classroom and made my way over to Chifuyu's office. She shares an office with many other teachers, so when I opened her office door, I wasn't surprised to see a few other teachers sitting at their desks working on lesson plans.

Chifuyu was sitting at her desk, typing away at her keyboard. Without turning around, she raised her left hand in the air and waved for me to walk over. When I got over to her, she pointed at the chair next to her and told me to sit. "What's going on, Ms. Orimura?" I sat down.

Chifuyu stopped typing and turned her chair to face me. "I've got something to give you." She spoke with no emotion on her face. Putting her hand in her blazer's inner pocket, she pulled out a bracelet and held it for me to take. It was a white and light blue beaded bracelet.

"What's the occasion?" I took it out of her hand, looking down at it.

"A gift from Tabane. She sent it to the school for me to give to you."

"Ms. Shinonono? That can't be a good thing."

Chifuyu chuckled softly. "Probably not. She said it was for when you feel the weakest."

"Hmm. Anonymous. That definitely sounds like Ms. Shinonono." I put the bracelet around his right wrist. "Guess I'll figure out what it does when I feel the weakest, whatever that means."

Chifuyu stared at me briefly, then turned around to continue typing her lesson plan for the next week. "That's all I called you here for." She signaled, informing me that I could leave and let her return to her work.

As I left the office and closed the door, Chifuyu turned back around. A worried expression lay on the strict woman's face. She knew Tabane knew something neither of us did, and whatever it was, it probably wasn't good. "Good luck, water ninja." She whispered.

Present Day

I was flying through the dimensional portal in my jet when I stopped and looked down at my bracelet, wondering if I was at my weakest point now. Surely not. I've got Lloyd coming to help get Hunter back. We've got this.... I hope.

The other end of the portal had opened, and my jet came storming through. I was flying over a field somewhere in the countryside of Japan. I touched down my jet, and as I was exiting, another portal opened up, and Lloyd came landing into it in his mech. He jumped out of his mech's cockpit; though he wasn't wearing his ninja gi, he was wearing the school uniform to where we were headed. "Perfect timing." I waved to him.

"Nathan! Good to see you again, buddy!" Lloyd ran up. "I've got something for you." He handed me a matching school uniform. "Nya got us all setup, so we're all set to start school and find Hunter."

"Perfect! Which way do we go?" I looked around at the field we were in.

"That's a good question...." Lloyd pulled out a cell phone and looked at how far away it was. "About 50 miles south." He smiled.

"Well, we can't take our vehicles; guess we better get walking," I started walking in the direction Lloyd said.

We eventually found a train station and got on board to make our way to the city the school was in. As we sat down, Lloyd decided to speak. "How are you doing?" Lloyd concernedly asked me.
