✖️Lexi-Anne's view;✖️

We drove for a half and hour with it being silent. When we arrived to the destination it was a street of stores. Phil's Pharmacy was the first store. Ashlie's hair saloon, Michael's Arts And Crafts, Jimmy's Beer joint, Matts gun shop and Michele's boutique. "Carl and Lexi pick a store. Glenn,Maggie got to the pharmacy. Get everything you think we'd need. Me, you. We'll go to the gun shop." Rick said and 'you' meant Gerry. Gerry was at least in his 40's. He had a lot of gray hair and had a white muscle shirt on.

Me and Carl went over to the boutique only because I begged him to. "Only if there is something good out of there. If there isn't, well... Your ass is getting beat." Carl joked, playfully punching me in the arm.

We walked in my girlie instincts kicked in. So many dress's and cute outfits. But I remembered what could be in there, and we had to check first.

I went one way, and he went another way. The floor was stained with blood. Which was disgusting to step on. After five minutes we realized everything was clear. "Okay, I'll check behind the counter." Carl said, walking behind the counter, checking for anything useable.

While he looking for useful things, I looked for clothing. The first rack had a blue plain thank top, then a little jacket on top, which had sparkles all over. I grabbed a couple outfits, then one dress for ha-ha's. "That would look great on you." Carl said, smirking as he was walking up to me.

"Thanks, I think this would look good on your girlfriend." I said, showing him a striped gray and white sweater, with a pair of ripped jeans. "Oh ya, all most forgot the boots." I said picking a pair of boots out quickly.

"You don't need to get her anything." Carl said in a husky voice.

"Why not? She'd think it would be cute." I asked curious, putting everything back, except for the boots.

"Listen, I don't have feelings for her. If I get something for her, she'll get the wrong idea." Carl said, leaning on the wall.

"Did you ever tell anyone that?" I asked, looking at his sad blue eyes.

He shook his head right away. "I thank you for telling me that." I said approaching him, about to hug him, but we just stared into each other's eyes. For some reason he started leaning in, like he was about to kiss me. He was going to kiss me. I had never thought of Carl that way but he was going to kiss me. So I leaned in too, but just before our lips connected there was a big bang outside.

Our bodies moved away from each other, and looked outside. It was a herd. It filled half the street already and more was coming. "Shit! Get down." Carl harshly whispered getting down on the floor.

When Lexi came up to me I knew she was going to hug me. But I couldn't resist kissing her. Right before we were going to, of course the walkers had to screw it up. Some reason I had to tell her about Tyler. She was great and all, but she became bitchy. She didn't treat anyone right, but I loved the fact she gave me drugs.

Lexi-Anne's breath was lingering on my skin, which gave me goosebumps. It wasn't a bad thing, I sort of liked it. "I'm scared." Lexi whispered, with her voice cracking. I opened my arm, offering her to cry onto my shoulder. She leaned her head on the side of my chest. It felt like her head belonged there. When me and Tyler did this, it never felt right. But now it did.

"The herd will clear up in a couple of hours, and we'll be back at the prison soon. I promise." I whispered to her, caressing her ginger hair.

After a hour or so, Lexi fell asleep. It cute also because she was on my chest. Outside the window I could see my dad in the gun shop window. 'It'll be over soon.' Dad mouthed to me. It was comforting to me that I knew when we would be able to leave.

I was thinking of mouthing to him that I was scoring good with Lex, but this wouldn't be the time. Ten more minutes passed and Lexi was mumbling in her sleep. "Noo, you won't kick my ass." That made me chuckle.

"Carl, let's go." My dad said walking into the store, waking up Lexi.

Her eyes filled with tears she saw something that she didn't want to see in her dream. "You okay?" I asked her.

"Yep." She smiled, standing up.

"You two good?" Dad asked us smirking. "Yea, were fine." I answered, standing up grabbing the clothes she wanted into a bag for Lexi.

"Here." I said handing the bag to her.

"Thanks," She smiled, going outside to the cars.

"Go get Tyler something in the saloon." Dad said. I sighed, he thought I liked her but I couldn't tell him about how it was working out. The store wasn't ruined at all. It was dusty though. I grabbed hair spray and cute bows. I wasn't giving any of this to Tyler. It was all for Lexi.

"Hurry up, little man." Daryl said as I rushed out into the car, sitting next to Lexi.

On the way back, we held hands. Only Glenn noticed, but he didn't say anything.
