✖️Lexi-Anne's view; ✖️

We walked that afternoon, and Carl was on shut down mode. Rick was still limping, and I tried my best to help, but he always pulled away. "If you guys keep thinking, nothing will get better." I mentioned, then Carl stopped.

"You don't get it do you!" Carl shouted. "Were on the road again. God knows where everyone else is! Were not safe, and you think this is some foolish thing! No, my sisters dead, imagine what I feel!" Carl shouted, then started walking again.

"Don't worry, he'll get over it." Rick assured me.

"What happened to Hunter?" I asked Rick, curious.

"I don't think anyone let him out of the cage." Rick said , looking at me sternly.

At that moment, I shut down also. Yeah, I know what your thinking. Foolish girl still loves her ex. But that isn't that case. I don't love him, I care about him. It's just like if Carl lost me, you know if we ever spilt.

After about twenty minutes we came to a opening. It was some type of bar. "Dad, you can't go in. You'll die, your unstable." Carl urged, towards his father.

"Seriously, Rick. Once we check, you can come in." I think I was Ricks breaking point. If I ever begged him to do something good, he'll listen. But with Carl, not so much.

"Fine," Rick huffed out. Me and Carl walking in with our weapons ready. I had my sword, and Carl had his gun with the silencer.

It was a bar, there was whiskey behind the counter and it looked so drinkable. In one room it was clear. This must've been a camp before they turned.

"We're all clear!" Carl hollered. First I checked for anything takable. The first bottle of whiskey, I picked up.

"Lexie, don't do that." Rick said, touching my arm.

"Why not? It's something to drink." I urged, still holding the bottle.

"Just please listen to me, please." Rick said, giving me a calm look.

"Fine." I muttered, going to the front door and waiting.

Carl came out and looked at me. "Seriously, whiskey?" Carl asked, with a dumb founded face.

I ignored him. "Lexi-Anne, speak to me. You don't know how I feel and I don't know how you feel. Just please let's talk about it." Carl urged walking up to my side.

"Oh, so now you want to be all sweet huh?" I asked, sarcastically. "So it's okay to treat me and your father like shit, just because you feel like shit. Yeah I totally get it. You wanna know how I feel? Yeah, I'm devastated. Do you see me be a bitch? No. You see me being supportive." At that moment I started yelling. "YOU THINK ITS ALL GREAT WITH ME! BUT IT ISNT. ACCORDING TO THE WORLD NOW, EVERYTHING'S HELL!" I yelled out, then Rick hushed me.

"Just don't talk to me," I said in a lower voice, walking away in the parking lot, starting to cry. But no. I'm strong, so I stopped.

"Lexi, we're on the road again. This is so stressful, you have to listen to me at least." Carl said walking up to my side, once again. "It's been several months since you haven't been on the road. It's hard, I know. You've been strong, I've seen that. Just hold on a little more, I know you can do this." Carl said sitting on the ground next to me.

"We have to get to shelter," I told him.

"There will be shelter soon, I promise." Carl promised me.

-

Once we left we headed down the road, Rick started speak to us seriously. "I don't know if I can take walking much longer. We need to get to shelter soon. There is a blocks of housing down the road. If we keep going, we can make if by night."
