I sit up in bed, my bed, at home, in my pijamas. There aren't any hill billy nurses, no white walls, no Jake, no Leila, no red satin dress, nothing that isn't what I used to call 'normal'.
I stand up and walk into the kitchen of my small cottage, cups and glasses line the shelves, the old oven and the fridge are in their usual places...
But wasn't there a fire?
I sit down at the table confused.
How did I get here? What about Jake and him being a werewolf? What about me killing people in my sleep? What about all those deaths that I caused? Isn't Leila in a coma? And where's the chick in the red satin dress, she should've arrived by now.
I walk over to the home phone and pick it up.
I freeze.
Maybe I'm dreaming again, I dial Leila's number.
Ring!
Ring!
Ri-I've chosen my fate.
"Leila I've missed you so much..." I exhale into the phone.
"Umm okay? It's only been like one afternoon..." Leila queries, "So I was wondering if you want to watch a movie tonight? I was thinking that we could go see 'Catching Fire' which is the next movie in the Hunger Games series."
"No!" I baisicly shout into the phone, ''No! We can't! Not tonight, I'm taking you to... the Zoo! Yeah we are gonna go on a special night time trip thingy!"
We are NOT going to that movie!
"Okay sure, and by the way I saw Jake kissing Alexa, what an asshole, I am sooo over him!" Leila says, she doesn't sound hurt, she sounds pissed off.
After about an hour of chatting we go our seperate ways to get ready, I smile to myself.
I'm finally free.
Liela's finally free.
We're finally free.
