Chapter 2

"So how do you feel about this mission?"Ashley asked as she picked up her jacket and bag following me out the door.

I hummed."We seem to have a talented bunch.We could make some easy progress if we get started right away."I said.

"What about that Namjoon?Do you think he will actually be of use?"

"Maybe.I mean everyone has potential and he hasn't had the chance to prove his worth on a mission which I find is pretty unfair.He gets lumbered with all the directors paperwork.I bet he's actually a smart guy if you get to know him."I say opening my car door.

"Not to mention hot.Though come to think of it they all are hot.Maybe I will enjoy this mission after all."Ashley winks at me suggestively.I laugh at her."Keep it professional Ashley.They are our co-workers nothing more nothing less."

"Come on Y/n.Dont tell me you don't find them attractive.Maybe you can find yourself a man.You don't have much men to take care of you."

I rolled my eyes at her."I don't need a man.Im fine I can take care of myself.I have all the men in my life that I need.My brother alone is enough."She raised her eyebrows at me,"Your brother?Seriously?All he does is be a dick.You deserve better than that.Dont you think your dad would like you to find yourself a man?"

I huffed."Well we shall never know."

I miss him so much.I still remember the day I found out he died.I will never forget it.

Flashback to ten years ago

"Mummy!Mummy!Look at me I'm like Daddy!"I screamed at Mummy.She laughed at me parading around in Daddy's old sunglasses holding a nerf gun to my chest.

I pressed my back against the wall and dragged Mummy by the hand to hide beside me."Keep low Mummy I will let you know when it's safe."I whispered to her.She nodded with that beautiful radiant smile plastered on her face.

I put my finger to my lips as I slowly crept around the corner of the wall and I shot my brother with my nerf gun and I tackled him to the ground pretending to be like Daddy.

I pinned him down to the ground and I handcuffed his hands together with the handcuffs Daddy gave me for my 7th birthday.

"You're under arrest!You have a right to remain silent.Anything you do say may be used against you at court!"I yelled down his ear.

I looked up at Mummy proudly."Look Mummy I caught the bad guy aren't you proud of me?"

I ran towards her.She laughed and picked me up and twirled me around engulfing me in one of her warm hugs.

"Of course Y/n.You are going to make a beautiful spy one day."

I blushed and hid my face in her shoulder."Mummy stop it"

She laughed again,"Awww you're like your Daddy alright."

Suddenly the phone in the kitchen rang.She frowned in confusion."Who could be calling at this hour?"She thought aloud.She placed me down and walked into the kitchen leaving me standing there dumbfounded.

I heard my brother still groaning on the floor.I kicked his leg."Shut it bad guy!I have another mission.Find out what Mummy is doing.Keep quiet.We can't get caught."

I silently made my way to the kitchen to see Mummy on the phone seeming distressed.Her back was facing me but she had her hand behind her neck as if in suspense.

"What do you mean gone?How could you lose him?Listen here you better find him right now.He has a wife and kids to get back to do you hear me?"

I listened without saying a word.Whats happening to Daddy?Where is he?He's coming home right?

Mummy listened to the person talking some more.Then when she spoke again her voice cracked.It almost broke me.

"What do you mean d-dead?He is the elite spy.He is trained to fight off the bad guys.But what am I meant to tell my kids?They will be heartbroken.Especially Y/n.She adores him.I see.No no it's fine.Thank you for letting me know.Im...I'm fine I guess I just need some time alone please if you don't mind.Thank you....Bye"

As soon as she hung up the phone she fell down to the floor and broke down in tears.I ran over to her and embraced her shaky figure.We were both crying our eyes out together.We needed each other.I will protect Mummy if it's the last thing I do.I will be a spy and make Daddy proud.

End of flashback

"Y/n you okay?"Ashley asked looking at me concerned.I blinked getting out of thoughts."Hmmm uh yeah I'm fine.Dont worry about me.I will see you tomorrow."I weakly smile at her as she gets out of my car.I drive off wiping the single tear that fell down my cheek.

"I miss you Daddy."
