[HIS P.O.V.]
I turned the knob of the door and it clicked open. I slid in as quietly as I could and hid behind a pile of boxes so that I wouldn't be caught by anyone that worked here. I peeked throught the edge of my cardboard fort and my eyes landed on a familiar figure. In the midst of the dozens of busy bodies, I noticed Jenna holding onto a bag as a tall, masculine man made his way towards her. His ginger hair curled slightly behind his ears as he gazed down at her seriously with his glassy green eyes. He shook his head at her in disappointment and began to speak.
"What are you doing here, I thought I told you to stay on vacation." He said.
"I know, but I couldn't help it. You were even preventing me from attending school and I was becoming impatient. I fainted but that doesn't mean I have to miss work and school for so long." She proclaimed hysterically. "I'm fine now, so can I please go back to work?"
He continued to stare at her unconvinced and she let out an exasperated sigh. "Please, Sebastian, you know how much I love doing what I do."
Her eyes twinkled and something told me that there was something much more behind what she was saying.
He gave her a sympathetic look and slowly let out a sigh. "Jeez, what am I going to do with you?"
"Let me do my job and get back to work." Jenna answered humorously.
The man named Sebastian chuckled softly and shook his head in good humor. "Fine, just make sure that if you start feeling a bit off again you'll let yourself rest."
She smiled brightly at him and walked into a hallway. She turned to her right and disappeared into a small room out of sight. When the man disappeared I trailed after her and peeked through the crack of the slightly open door she went through.
She put down the bag that was in her hands on the surface of the desk and pulled out its contents. She layed the glittering gold clothing on a nearby chair and slipped on the five inch heels that still shimmered brightly even in the dim light of the office like room. She tugged on the rubberband that held up her hair and her long, brown, luscious river of strings cascaded down her back. She reached in the bag once again and pulled out compacts and lipglosses I assumed she would be applying to herself.
I wonder if she's a worker here? I contemplated as my thoughts began to whirl again.
My heart's steady beating accelerated as I gawked at the girl in front of me. She was only wearing heels and had let her hair down but she already looked beautiful in my eyes. I had found myself enchanted by her and stared at her graceful movements in awe. I was suddenly pulled out of my trance when I noticed her tug at the hem of her shirt. As soon as she lifted her shirt halfway up her flat stomach I quickly turned away, my cheeks turning aflame. I stumbled a little too much for I bumped into a pile of boxes that made a large crash noise and I knew that I had revealed my hidden location to anyone near.
Luckily, no one seemed to have noticed but I began to panic when I heard small footsteps coming from the occupied room making their way towards the door. I hastily ran out of the hallway and met with a large room filled with woman in dresses and men in tuxedos. I looked around to find a way out of where I was when a familiar woman walked towards me. It was the blonde who had taken our orders the last time we came to Melody's. She smiled widely and opened her mouth to speak.
"Excuse me, are you lost? You seemed to have found yourself in the wrong place if you came to get a table at Melody's." She laughed happily and laid her hand on my shoulder. "You want me to take you to a table, then?"
I hesitantly nodded and let out a sigh of relief. She led me out of the large but crowded room full of workers and led me towards the giant extravagance of the restaurant and sat me at the same table I sat last time. I looked out of the window and met with the beautiful scenery of the twinkling fountain. I smiled knowingly at it. I've only seen it twice but I knew I would never get tired of the enchanting view.
