[HER P.O.V.]

Our irregular breaths mixed as his chocolatey orbs glowed with a lovely hue I never knew I could see in the eyes of the opposite gender. It was almost hypnotizing. He glanced down to my lips and licked his own causing them to shine in the moon's radiance.

His body was so close to mine that he was practically pressed up against my body. The nearly suffocating proximity had let me be able to feel his racing heartbeat. It seemed I wasn't the only who was nervous.

He growled softly as if he was tormenting himself and quickly mashed his face towards mine.

I would have let him kiss me, but my body moved on its own violation, and I found myself being kissed on the cheek instead. I had involuntarily turned my head so that my lips wouldn't be touched. I was freed from my captive position and turned my gaze towards John.

When my honey-like marbles mingled with his shocked ones I stared at him in confusion. It wasn't until then that I noticed I was shaking. My body was trembling tremendously in fear. My knees started to weaken and I felt my consciousness starting to sway, my consciousness almost fading away. My body gave way and I found myself falling to the ground. To my surprise, I didn't come in contact with the cool rough surface of the floor but with the warm muscular arms of someone else.

My eyes were shut and my weak body was hoisted up in the air as the person that carried me walked in a specific direction. I heard the sound of doors open and the cool temperature of air conditioning hit my body instantly. I wanted to see what was happening but I couldn't open my eyes, move my lips to speak, or take control of my limbs at all for that matter. It was strange how I could still hear everything though.

I heard the voice of a man tell my holder that the building was closed but they instantly shut their mouth for some reason. They gasped at something unknown to me and I felt a new pair of arms grab hold of my frail body.

I suddenly felt the soft warm sensation of lips graze my forehead as a hand lovingly caressed my cheek. My ear was tickled by the warmth of someone's breath and in a mere whisper, he painfully murmured, "I'm sorry I hurt you."

His warm breath left my ear and it instantly felt cold. I knew this voice and it ached me that he felt he was to blame for what happened to me.

No, I'm sorry, John. Please, don't feel sad.

I couldn't make my lips move in sync with my words so I sent him my thoughts even though I knew he wouldn't receive them.

"Please, take care of her." John pleaded to someone I couldn't see. I no longer felt his presence beside me and I felt guilt take over me. My heart ached and pounded thickly in my chest.

I had turned down the one person who confessed his love towards me. He gave me his heart and I didn't take care of it. I hated myself for doing that. He wanted to kiss me and I didn't let him. In fact, I wanted to let him. I wanted to let him kiss me but, deep down, I knew why I didn't. I was afraid. I was afraid of what happened so many years ago to occur again. It tainted my life with its agonizing memory, forever stopping me from having anything to do with such things as this.

I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I didn't notice that I was being taken somewhere else. The person who was carrying me walked towards an unknown direction. After a few steps he stopped and I heard the turn of a doorknob. He pushed what I assume was the door for I heard the sound of hinges creak in need for oil. He set me down on the soft surface of a couch and my consciousness started to slip even farther. I felt the presence of someone beside me and a hand brush away the hair from my face.

"What did he do to you?" The unknown person questioned while stroking my hair. His fingers smoothly ran through my hair, soothing me of all my insecurities. I instantly fell into darkness but not before I heard the mysterious man's last words:
