[HER P.O.V.]

The soft murmurs of voices slowly pulled me away from the grey of unconsciousness and awakened me from my slumber. My lashes fluttered against my cheeks as my blurry vision cleared and my surroundings came into view.

White.

I was engulfed in a small, simple room of white. From the pasty walls to the thin sheets that covered me on my bed. It was enough to make it feel as if you were in heaven or simply resting in a room from an asylum.

My mind was wrapped in confusion. I couldn't put my finger on the idea of where I was until I became aware of the familiar smell of antiseptic and the rhythmic beeps coming from a heart monitor. When I put all the clues together I discovered I was in a hospital.

Questions contaminated my mind as I frantically searched through my memory to figure out what had happened to me. A throbbing pain rang in my head and only seemed to grow the harder I thought about my memories. I sighed in defeat as I failed to have any recollection of what occured. I moved my attention away from my thoughts and focused on trying to lift myself out of bed. I halted my actions in doing as to let out a groan from the tingly numbness I felt all over my body.

Even though I didn't move much, the slight movement was enough to cause the springs on the bed I laid on to creak. The small noise resulted in the silence of the once whispering voices I had been hearing since I awoke.

The sound of footsteps entered my ears and I turned to the door that was to my right. Two figures came into my view of sight as they steadily entered my room. I smiled genuinely at the familiar faces of the people that standed before me.

Sebastian and Ailene stared at me with relief evident in their eyes but neither bothered to break the silence. Ailene was the first to act, her eyes welled up with tears as she made her way towards my side. She smiled softly at me before the corner of her lips instantly turned downward. She rose her hand and before I knew it her knuckles landed roughly on my head.

"Ouch!" I screamed in agony. "You can see that I'm in the hospital and you still hurt me? What is wrong with you, woman!?"

I rubbed my aching head as I muttered under my breath. Her brows knitted together as she frowned at me. "You idiot, do you know how scared I was when I got a call that you were in the hospital. I was so afraid of figuring out that-"

"I was dead?" I finished her over-used phrase. I laughed softly and shook my head. "You're so exaggerative."

I rolled my eyes only to earn a displeased look from Ailene. Her brows furrowed even more in anger and as she opened her mouth wide to give me a piece of her mind, Sebastian stepped in. He wrapped his arms around Ailene's waist and pulled her away from me. He patted her head and stroked her hair teasingly as if trying to calm down an angered pup.

"There there, Ailene, no need to get your panties in a twist." He chuckled at the sight of her cheeks reddening and struggling to free herself from his grip.

"What do you mean by that? I am not!" She voiced in a fluster. "Now, let me go!"

He tightened his hold on her waist causing a gasp to escape from her lips. A devious smile played on his lips as he had the upper hand. "Not until you calm down, little one."

Her cheeks were completely flushed as she stared at him straight in the eye. She stopped her struggling and Sebastian grinned in contempt. He released her from his hold but not before he patted her on the head once more.

"Good girl."

I snickered to myself at the scene that unfolded before me and couldn't help but let out a laugh.
