[HER P.O.V.]

I was fully changed into my uniform which consisted of a golden dress and heels and walked out of my large room for an office.

My boss, Sebastian, let me keep the office as a reward for being one of his most dedicated workers. I wasn't the only one with an office though. Of course, he had one but so did my co-worker Leah and the others that would give out the "special treat" for our customers.

Only thing was that I knew Sebastian for a very long time. Our parents were really close and I met him and his little sister one day when they came over. The three of were really close ever since. He was very much like an older brother and has always been there for me.

His father was the past owner of Melody but as soon as Sebastian graduated high school he took over. He knew very well how much I loved music and hired me as a musical waitress. I was in middle school at the time. That was about five years ago, when I was still eleven.

Before, I didn't need to hide my identity until a year later. It became absolutely mandatory for no one to find out where I worked, and it was all the fault of that one terrible incident.

I smiled sadly recalling the bittersweet memories that happened so long ago as I continued to step away from my office. My attention was jerked away when Leah called out to me. I looked up at her as she clicked her heels in my direction. Her lovely figure majestically swaying with her every step.

"Jenna, I've got the greatest news!"

She beamed brightly as she stopped in front of me. She reached out towards my hands and wrapped them tightly into her own shaking ones.

"You know how you didn't get to give your treat to our last customers? They're back, well, one of them is back. He's waiting at the same table he was sitting at last time and let me tell you, he is such a hottie!" She squeals excitedly as her blue marbles sparkle in a lively color.

"He's back?" I questioned and she nodded enthusiastically in reply. I squeal happily with her and we jump up and down like children, never letting go of each other's hands. I stared up at her beaming brightly and she nodded her head before patting my shoulder softly.

She leaned in closely and whispered quietly in my ear. "Go get 'im, Kathy."

I giggled softly and headed towards the flapping doors that would lead me into the lively wonder of the beautiful place named Melody. I made my way towards the table with the wonderful view and smiled gleefully to myself. My ebullient feeling were soon deprived of me though as my eyes laid on a familiar person I knew all too well.

His elbows were propped on the flat surface of the clothed table while resting his head on his hands. His muscles flexed out of his loose maroon t-shirt and revealed their large size. His long legs that we wrapped in dark blue jeans were stretched out under the cloth of the table hiding his feet from the eyes of anyone. He stared out the window and marveled over the darkening colors of the setting sun that reflected off the sparkling beads of water escaping the fountain. His facial features were hidden out of my sight only allowing me to feast my wandering orbs at his mop of dirty blond hair that softly touched the back of his ears and the arch of where his brows are slightly.

What is Kendall doing here?

I felt my blood go cold as the swirling emotions of fear and worry penetrate me.

No, I just need to make sure I act natural. Besides, I look absolutely different from what I usually do. Any person would easily be fooled. I shouldn't worry.

I began to panic and think otherwise when he notices my gaze and looks up to my direction in surprise.

The gleam of shock in his eyes caused me to falter as I made my way towards him. He shook his head as if in denial with his own thoughts as he stared blankly at his hands.

I'm sure he doesn't know it's me...

His gaze went back to me and I felt my cheeks flush extremely in heat.

I stopped in front of the table and Kendall stared up at me in awe as if he was seeing something amazing. I tried to muster a smile.

"Hello, sir, I hope you are enjoying yourself today."

He stayed in his mystified trance and his lips moved slowly in sync with his words.

"You're beautiful." He murmured quietly, as if those words were only meant for me.

I felt my cheeks burn even more and he shakes his head frantically side to side to pull himself out of his reverie. "Uh, I mean, yeah... I'm fine."

"Would you like anything today? Did you find something in the menu that you liked?" I asked feeling my heart's unhealthy beating starting to get to me.

"What if what I want isn't on the menu?" He voiced playfully.

I began to fidget uncomfortably in my place at his sudden choice of words.

"A-and what would that be?"

He smirked devilishly and my heart began to race at an unnatural speed.

"I-I'm going to get you some water. I-I'll be back." I began to head towards the employee's room when I felt a large hand wrap gently but firmly around my wrist. I turned to meet the eyes of a serious Kendall and I felt heat begin to arise greatly where his hand laid.

I knew what he wanted to say but he seemed to have trouble voicing out his thoughts. He looked down to the ground then, after a couple of minutes of silence, he stared back deeply into my eyes. His next words frightened me beyond belief and I felt all my hairs stand on end.

"I know who you are."

I sighed and slowly rippr mysef out of his grip. Shame began to choke me as I tried to fight off the large lump that was forming in my throat.

"My shift doesn't end until half an hour from now. Do you think you can wait?"

"I'll wait."

"Okay, I'll be right back then."

I rushed through the flapping doors and instantly ran into my office. I leaned against the blue painted wall not being able to currently stand my entire weight. I chocked back the sobs in my throat and slid down the dark painted wall slowly until my rump touched the soft carpeted floor.

"What am I going to do?" I asked myself in a mere whisper, hopelessness surrounding me from every corner.
