I was currently in my room, pacing back and forth. I felt dizzy that I just ended up plopping down onto the massive bed. I was a little bit nervous today since Vincent was going to teach me how to use my magic properly. I was also nervous since I was going to be alone with Vincent ever since he blatantly told me that he didn't like me.

I walked over to my wardrobe and yanked the doors open, stressing on what I should wear for training. I went with my jeans and my t-shirt. I should probably ask Claire where I can wash my clothes because it's been a few days.

Once I looked presentable, I left my room in search for Vincent. I walked toward the dining hall to see if he was present, but he wasn't there. So I drifted over to the garden at the back of the castle to see if he was there.

To my luck, Vincent was sitting on a bench at the end of the garden staring up at the sky. I quickly made my way over to him.

Once I was in front of him, he hadn't acknowledged me yet. I twisted my fingers nervously hoping he'd realize I was in front of him. He sighed then stood up to his extraordinary height. I felt like a small doll compared to him.

He looked down at me and then nodded his head over to the flowers a little whiles away from the bench. Once we reached the small pile of flowers, he sat on the ground and I sat down with him.

I stared at the flowers confused. They were really beautiful. Carnations of a beautiful red color sat in front of me.

"Okay, Serenity," Vincent said monotonously, "Kill the flowers."

"Um...e-excuse me?" I stuttered.

"You heard me," he spoke in an indifferent tone.

"Why do you want me to kill the flowers?"

Vincent sighed impatiently. "You asked me to teach you how to use your powers so this is how it's going to go. Kill the flowers."

I didn't really know what to do. I thought maybe if I put my hand out and pictured the flowers dead, it would become a reality. Unfortunately for me, I just looked stupid and looked like a wannabe who thought they had magical powers.

I groaned frustratingly as the flowers seemed to twitch when a small breeze came. Like they were mocking me.

"You're not doing it right."

I looked up at Vincent's porcelain face and scowled. "Well how am I supposed to do it? You're not teaching me anything!"

He huffed. "Imagine the flowers as they are and then imagine them dea-"

"I already tried that and it's not working!" I exclaimed, cutting him off."

A flash of irritation crossed his face as he ran a hand through his hair. "If only you'd let me finish…"

My cheeks heated. "Oh...right."

"Once you imagine them to be dead, feel the power extend from within you and channel it to your hand. You have to believe in yourself as well. Believe in yourself, image what you want, feel the power, and let it loose. The magic isn't gone from your essence. You just have to awaken your powers. And remember that your pendent helps control your magic as well."
