' As long as he's dead, he can be a part of whatever he wants. '

Eden woke with a gasp, harsh coughs leaving her mouth as her hands flung out to grab whatever was closest; gripping the rough fabric of the lounge and Jonathan's shirt. Her eyes shot up, sitting wide as she struggled to breath; panic setting in her stomach. They were in the cabin, how she'd gotten there, she didn't know; flashbacks from the previous night playing on her mind.
'Hey, Ed, breathe,' She heard Jonathan say; 'Breathe.'
She rolled onto her side coughing, accepting the glass of water her handed her. Her chest heaved as the coughs subsided, but her hand didn't leave his shirt. She groaned, falling back onto her back; staring up at the ceiling.
'What the fuck?' She muttered.
'Hey, what happened?' The boy asked.
'Dad found me... He's flayed, Jonny. A-And I think I killed him.'
He looked over the couch to meet Nancy's eye, the girl nodding firmly.
He sighed; 'If he is, that means he's a part of the Mind Flayer now.'
'As long as he's dead, he can be a part of whatever he wants,' She mumbled; 'Can you get me some aspirin? The fucker broke my arm.'
His eyes flicked down to the swollen bone, cursing before he shot up to grab something frozen from the freezer. Eden let out a sigh, laying her good arm over her eyes to block out the obnoxious amount of light flittering in through the curtains.
'Here,' Jonathan stated before pressed the bag of peas onto her arm.
She jumped, 'Shit, Jonny. Careful.'
'Sorry.'
She sighed, relaxing back into the cushions.
'What'd I miss?' She asked.
'El's trying to find the flayed, but it's like they've disappeared completely,' He informed her.
'How long's she been in there?'
'Couple of hours.'
'Ok.'
Eden pushed herself up to sit, stilling herself for a second before she stood.
'What are you doing?' Nancy asked.
'Going to change,' She rolled her eyes.
She pushed open the door of her bedroom, shutting it behind her quietly. She moved around the room, changing as quickly as she could with one arm; eyeing off her sister as she wiped her nose with a tissue and added it to the large pile of others. She didn't interrupt her, limping back out of the room lay on the couch; ignoring the bickering going on in front of her. She reached out for the newspaper on the coffee table, unrolling it to fold it around her arm; eyeing off the belt from Hopper's robe.
