After three hours of just laying there in bed, I finally fell asleep. It wasn't a comfortable sleep; though, I was plagued with nightmares. Mostly of my wedding and everything that could possibly go wrong going wrong. There was one dream about Victor that stuck out in particular.
He was crying in the dark in a corner. There we're bruises all over his face and he wore a white shirt covered in blood. He just sat there rocking back and forth whispering something to himself. As I walked closer I could hear him. "May darkness consume the souls of my enemies the way it consumed me." As I reached out to touch him, he looked at me and I saw that his eyes had been gauged out.
I screamed and I found myself back in realty, Vitya leaning over me with a worried expression plastered on his face.
"Yuri? Yuri! What's wrong? What happened?" He immediately asked.
I took a couple of deep breaths to calm down before answering, "it seemed to real and and graphic Victor. I mean i know it was a dream but but it was just so real." I began to sob uncontrollably. He pulled me into a tight hug and rubbed my back gently.
"Shh. Shh. Everything is fine; it was just a dream," he whispered over and over agin in an attempt to soothe me. Eventually I calmed down and stopped crying but I would not tell him what I dreamt about. Victor cuddled me as I once again fell asleep.
"Yuri, it is time to get up dear." A voice called to me but I didn't want to get up. Grumbling I rolled over and ignored it. "Yuri I don't know about you but I kind of want to get married today so please get up and get ready." My eyes shot open. The wedding! Jumping out if bed, I began to hastily begin preparing for my big day. "I am going to go prepare in a different room. I will see you at the isle my beautiful pork cutlet bowl." Victor gave me a peck on the cheek and walked out before I could even reply.
As I finished getting ready I couldn't help but think of what Vitya would look like in his white suit. Probably handsome and totally sexy. Actually there was no probably about it, he would look absolutely dashing in anything he wore. How did I get so lucky? Not only am I about to marry the worlds greatest male ice skater but also my personal idol. It us unbelievable!
Suddenly there was a knock at my door, interrupting my thoughts. As I opened the door, I immediately recognised the person, "Oh, hey. Did you come to help me get ready?"
"Yeah."
I let them in and closed the door. "I'm really glad you came, actually," I fidgeted with my hand for a second, "I have been wanting to talk to you about something."
A look of amusement crossed their face, "getting cold feet are we?" He laughed.
"No,no! Nothing like that. Actually it's about the Grand Prix. I found something out and it's really big."
The smiled disappeared, "What did you find out?"
"It was fixed. The whole thing and I have proof! You got to believe me! It's one big conspiracy and I can blow it wide open."
"I do believe you Yuri but this is no thing you should be speaking about on your wedding day."
"I'm going to tell Victor later, that is why I'm letting you know now. But you are right, I need to focus. " I smiled at him.
He didn't return the gesture, instead he went in for a hug.
