Natsu sat beside his wife, clutching onto her hand tightly. His wife, Lucy, sat on the bed, in pain, waiting for her baby to come.
"Are you Okay?" Asks Natsu, hearing her whimper again.
"Natsu, every time I whimper doesn't mean I'm in pain," Says Lucy slightly annoyed.
"I know I know, I'm sorry but I'm just worried." He says. Lucy doesn't respond as another contraction hits.
"How much longer?" Asks Anna to the doctor, who stood on the other side of Lucy.
"She should be ready to push in a couple of minutes." Responds the doctor.
"See Luce, in a couple of minutes, our daughter will be here." Says Natsu, caressing her cheek as she lets out another scream.
"Okay, in three your gonna push." Says the doctor.
"One, two, three,"
Lucy's grip on her husbands hand tightened even more while she was pushing, and so did he screams.
"Just a little more. I can see your little Princess' head." Says a nurse.
"See Luce, just a little more." Says Natsu, who was gladly letting her grip on his hand.
And a few minutes later, a baby's cry escaped the room, and after washing her up she was placed into Lucy's arms.
Lucy immediately sits up to look at her daughter, and was in awe.
"She looks like you, Natsu." Says Lucy, a smile upon her face.
"Especially the hair." She adds, seeing the pink tuffs along her face.
"Yeah, but she has your eyes. And face." Says Natsu, admiring his daughter.
"Do you wanna hold her?" Asks Lucy and Natsu immediately nods. "I remember when Luke was this small." He says and Lucy can't help but freeze. She never got to see him grow.
"Don't worry Luce. You won't leave again...right?" He asks her. And Lucy nods. "Of course. I wouldn't. I can't. I don't want her to go through what Luke had to." She explains.
"What are you going to name her?" Asks the doctor, interrupting them. Natsu looks over to Lucy.
"Well...me and Luke were talking, and we decided that we wanted her name to sound identical to yours, since Luke sound like mines, and since she even looks like you, we decided that Nashi Layla Dragneel would be perfect." Concludes Lucy, as the doctor scribbles what she says down.
"It's beautiful Luce. How about we call Luke in right now?" asks Natsu and Lucy nods.
"Where's my sister?" Asks Luke, looking around the room.
"Shh, Luke, you have to be quiet. You don't wanna wake her do you?" Asks Natsu and Luke quickly shakes his head as they walk over to the Lucy's bedside.
"Luke, I'd like you to meet your little sister, Nashi Layla Dragneel." Luke brightens.
"Hi Nashi! I'm your older brother Luke! It's nice to meet you and I promise I'll take care of you."
Lucy and Natsu smile at this, and after a bit more family time they called everyone into the room, but Lucy freezes once Zeref comes into the room, Anna's thoughts coming back to the girl.
And with that she lets out a scream.
