|Arc 1| Chapter Ten.

Trauma? Maybe. But only because it was like she experienced this all before. The joy, of her child being born, and then Zeref had to be here, probably about to threaten the girl, just like before with Luke.

Would he tell her to get lost in seven days or her child would be dead? Or would he just kill her on the spot?

"Lucy what's wrong!" Asks Natsu, putting one hand on her shoulder, the other holding onto Nashi.

"Luce, you gotta tell me what's wrong!" Says Natsu again, and even Luke had built up his own tears.

Anna ran into the room, and immediately took Nashi into her hands, allowing Natsu to wrap his arms around Lucy. Levy comes into the room and begins to comfort Luke, who was beginning to cry into her chest.

"Lucy...come on, tell me what's wrong..." says Natsu who on the verge of tears himself.

"G-get him away f-from me!" She stutters out, and when Natsu looks at who she's pointing at he's surprised.

"Zeref..."

"What did you do to her?" Natsu asks almost immediately.

"Brother, I have no idea what she's-"

"Zeref, you know exactly what you did to her. The day she had Luke you told her she had seven days to leave, just so you could have his power, and the only reason you haven't killed her on sight is because of Nashi."

"Luce...is this true...?" Asks Natsu who was shocked. But who wouldn't be when their older brother that they've looked up to their whole life was trying to kill their wife.

Lucy looks down. "Y-yes," Says Lucy causing Natsu to glare at Zeref.

"I'm gonna kill you!" Natsu yells immediately, lighting his hands aflame.

"Now, now Salamander. What good would killing the King get you? Calm down."

"Gajeel is right. And you know more than anybody that you can't beat me." Laughs out Zeref.

"Oh yeah, I'd like to see you-"

"I've already won Natsu. Look over to your dear wife Lucy. She's dead. While you were busy talking I casted a spell on her, that killed her." Says Zeref, and quickly after Natsu punches him in the face.

"Why are you doing this Zeref?" Asks Natsu who was close to tears, but he was gonna give up a fight.

"Natsu, I did this all for you. Your already King of her Kingdom, giving us more power already...plus, you can pay all her people back for what they've done to us."

"What do you mean Zeref? I don't care what the hell they've done to us, but why kill Lucy, someone whose innocent." Asks Natsu.

"You have a lot to learn little brother, but I need to head back to the castle. I'll be here whenever you understand what I did for you." And with that he was gone.

Natsu turns to Lucy's bedside. "I-is mommy really dead daddy? And why did Uncle Zeref say all that mean stuff...?" Asks Luke, Who was still sobbing.

"I'm sorry Luke but-"

"She's not dead." Speaks up Anna. "I noticed some interference in the room with Lucy's magic power since he was draining it to probably kill her. As soon as I noticed I placed a spell on her that caused her to fall into a deep sleep, and Zeref fell for it thinking she was dead."

"So she's alive!" Asks Natsu.

"Of course...I told you I wasn't leaving just yet." Speaks up Lucy's weak voice.

"How're you Lucy...to go through a child birth and then all of that..." trails off Levy. "Yeah, and what are we gonna do with Zeref? He thinks Lucy's dead, so if rumour gets to him that she's alive and well then...things won't end well." Says Yukino.

"I think I have a plan for all that could put some stress on everyone...but I think it'll work."

"Well go ahead, say it." Says Natsu. 

"Well for one, we'll have to send Lucy off, to make sure Zeref knows that she's dead. If he finds out she's alive then he'll make sure to really kill her. But I'm  not sure where to put her. We could do the Kingdom of Fiore, but I don't think they'd want that burden...and then-"

"What about up North? I'm sure Gray would fine with having her?" Asks Sting, Who had been quiet.

"As much as I hate Gary's guts...that could work." Says Natsu.

"Well then we'll send her to the North. But Natsu, you'll have to stay here. If you leave Zeref will catch onto us. We'll give it a month, and then you'll have to make peace with him. You and Luke will stay here. Along with Gajeel , Rogue, and Minerva. You guys are close to Zeref so he'll notice if your gone."

"Also," adds Anna, "We'll have Yukino and Levy accompany her there, just to make it believable. We'll have to cross Zeref's Kingdom on the way, so we could say that Yukino and Levy are just taking a trip up North for a week, and then you'll have to come back."

"It's better for all the children to stay with their fathers, in case there is trouble, except for Nashi. You may not like this plan though Natsu..." trails off Anna.

"How worse can it be then leaving Lucy? And for Luke having to leave Lucy?" Asks Natsu.

"You have to tell Zeref you killed Nashi,"

"But why? What will that help when he wants both Luke and Nashi for their power?" Asks Natsu. "Because, keeping Nashi away from Zeref will keep one part of his plan from happening."

"True...and it'll give us more time." Adds Lucy. Natsu groans. "Fine then. So that means Nashi will be going with Luce?" Asks Natsu. Anna nods. "Sadly, but only for awhile."

"And how long is awhile?" Asks Lucy.

"....whenever Zeref shows signs of starting his plan. He'll still start it, since it was originally supposed to be just Luke."

"So does this mean Uncle Zeref is bad? And that mommy and Nashi have to go?"

"Well...yes, Zeref is bad, but me and you can visit mommy and Nashi everyone month, right?" Natsu asks Anna the last part and she nods confirming it. Luke decides to stay quiet. He didn't necessarily understand all of this, but he would later on.

"Everyone will leave in the morning!"
