|Arc 2| Chapter Six *19*

The next few days were silent between Storm and Nashi, and you knew it was awkward when even Natsu noticed.

"Do you think this plan will work?" Nova Asks Luke. "I mean, it should. They'd sit by each other everyday. They have to atleast talk."

"Wow, never realized you cared about Storm's feelings." Says Ryuuji. "I do care about him..." trails off Luke, turning the other way. "Awe, how cute. Maybe I should add you guys to my brotp!" Smirks Nova. "Please don't!" Luke raises his voice.

"Hush, here comes Storm." Says McKenzie And they all go silent.

"For the first time ever you guys are silent at the breakfast table. What's going on?"

"We can't enjoy a good breakfast?" Luke Asks stuffing his face, but from the corner of his eye he could see Nashi walking down the stairs.

"What took you so long to get up?" Natsu Asks Nashi. "Uh, well, I kinda stayed up all night watching the stars." Nashi says yawning after. And that's when she realized the only seat left was the one beside Storm.

"And I think I'm gonna go and study some more astrology-" Nashi Says running up the stairs. "I'll go after her-" "No, I will Luke." Says Natsu running up after her.

Is he going to tell her? Luke thinks to himself.

"Storm, come here. Let's talk." Gray Says to his son. Storm nods and walks over to him.

"The mood got dark." Says Grace biting her lip.

"Yeah, I'm about to go and ease-drop on Uncle Gray's conversation with Storm." Says Nova standing up.

"Wait ok me!" Says Rosemary following after her. "Your not gonna Come Luke? I mean, they're probably talking about him and Nash." "Nah, I'm good. That's there business. When they're ready to tell us they will."

"So mature," snickers McKenzie.

"Ugh! Stop being right all the damn time!" Says Nova as her and Rose sit back down.

"Nash, what's the problem?" Natsu Asks, sitting on the bed beside her.

Nashi pouts. "Promise you won't tell mom. Or Luke?" Natsu nods. "I promise." He Says. Nashi sits up. "Well...a few days ago, Storm and me were alone...and he told me he was his mate."

I thought I told that brat to-

"The evidence was all there, and on the inside I was really happy but..."

"But?" Natsu Asks her.

"I don't want a mate. What if he leaves me all alone like how my dad did my mom." Nashi says and Natsu felt his heart ache. "Don't be like that. Luke and McKenzie work out just fine."

"Yeah, cause Luke's met our dad but I haven't." Says Nashi and the room was silent.

"Hey, Nash, you know, I helped your mom paint your nursery."

"You did?" Nashi Asks And Natsu nods

"I was so excited when we found out that you were a girl, and I wanted you to be just like your mom. Look like her, love the same things as her, have the same magic as her, and I'm glad that you ended up being just like her."

Nashi looks at Natsu in awe, and for the first time she finally saw it. "Y-your my dad?" She asks him, feeling herself start to tear up. Natsu nods, pulling her into a hug and Nashi feels herself start to sob.

"W-Why'd y-you Guys hide it for so long!" Nashi cries.

"We thought it was best for you. And since Natsu's finally told you I think it's time for me to show you something too." Says Anna coming into the room. "Follow us downstairs. We should bring the other kids who don't know about the prophecy with us too."

"Storm, go ahead and tell me what's happened between you and Nashi. Your lucky your mom isn't here either. Her and Lucy would've forced the truth out you both in front of everyone."

Storm sighs. "You know, I'm turning 17 soon so...I need to mark Nashi. As the days become closer to being seventeen I'm getting weaker. When August came I had to hide Nash, so while we were downstairs I told her we were mates."

"What were you thinking? Natsu's gonna kick you ass!"

"I know, I know but, I have to mark her. Every time I see her it's like a craving."

"I understand. So you told her and what happened?"

"She just...said she needed time to think." Storm Says.

"You should talk to her. She's younger than you, she probably doesn't even realize the significance of this mate thing at all."

"Your right and I will." Says Storm, just as Anna, Nashi, And Natsu were coming down the stairs. He also notices Nashi's red cheeks and puffy eyes.

"Come on guys, I think it's time for us to go over the prophecy again."

Luke stands up, walking towards Nashi. "Sorry we hid this from you for so long." He tells her, hugging her. Nashi doesn't say anything.

"What prophecy?" Asks Gale, confused as they all follow Anna down the stairs.

"For those of you who are younger, you've never heard of it, but your older siblings have." Says Anna, showing them some old writings.

"You see, before Nashi was born, and while you younger ones were just babies, this prophecy appeared saying how the year the Fire and Stars son is 17, and their daughters 14, is the year that they'll take down the Darkness that wants to control them. Along with the help of all the other elements of magic."

"So...there talking about me and Luke?" Asks Nashi And Anna nods. "Then who's the darkness? And the other elements of magic?" Nashi continues.

"Well, the darkness is your Uncle Zeref, your dads brother. He tried to kill your mother. Twice. The first time was when Luke was born, and secondly when you were born."

"And that's why I've lived in the Ice Kingdom my whole life? And why I never knew Natsu was my dad." Anna nods. "The other elements, are you guys. You guys will help take down Zeref with them, as long as your up for the challenge."

"Of course we are. We wouldn't let Luke and Nashi take him down themselves." Says Storm. "Exactly, we're all in this together!" Says Scarlett fist pumping into the air.

"I'm moved." Says Luke, only with a little sarcasm.

"You guys are too nice!" Says Nashi bursting into tears. Grace pats her back. "It's Okay Nash. We're here for you!" Grace says.

"Yeah, so stop being such a crybaby." Luke Says.

"Leave me alone." Nashi pouts. "Natsu? Did you contact Lucy?" Anna asks. Natsu nods. "We did. She said they'll be here in three days."

"Ah, what a shame. I would've loved to kill that bitch today." And all their eyes turned to the new voice.

"Such a shame. I wasn't invited to hear about this prophecy. That's so rude, especially since I'm in it." Zeref smirks.

"It's also a shame to know that I had another cousin this whole time and never even knew about it. Rude Luke. Just rude." Says August.

"Natsu, you lied. You said you got over that Heartfilia and you didn't. And it's nice to know you kept her alive Anna."

"Why wouldn't I get over her? She's my mate. I didn't get over her the first time."

Zeref disappears and then reappears right in front of Nashi.

"Hm, you look just like that bitch, but, I'll have to keep you alive for my plans." Says Zeref as he grabs onto Nashi and Luke.

"I'll be taking these two now!" He says as both him and August disappear, along with August.

"What the hell! Where just gonna let them leave?" Yells Storm.

"Hush it. Us adults are smarter than you think. Luke and Nashi are strong, they'll be fine. He just gave us a reason to go to him."

"So...in other words, he started the war and we're gonna finish it?" Asks Rosemary.

"Basically."
