It was the 1st sunset of the deadline and the Queen was waiting in her room with an envelope in her hand.
"(knock knock) your majesty the boy is here"
"send him in" Tema entered the room to see it was the same as Hana's room except for the Desk she was working on.
"Evening your majesty"
"yes good evening" said the Queen crossing her hands "boy you need to leave this town"
"Why is there anything you need me to get?"
"No you need to leave this town permanently" Tema's face looked very worried
"why?"
"take a look at this" she passed Tema an envelope which he opened to reveal a letter inside it
To Radiant light
We demand surrender in the name of the lord of Dark Sabre. You have till the 3rd sunset of this letter being received to decide. If you refuse we will purge your land with the Dark Rage cannon of the king of old. A commander is on his way to get your answer.
Also if the heretic leaves the town we won't fire this attack against you but he can never return
"you are a danger to everyone in this town. Your very presence is threatening my kingdom so as the Queen of Radiant light I banish you from this town and you are to tell no one of this"
Tema felt like a knife had just pierced his chest, he didn't want to admit but maybe his just being here in the town is causing everyone to be in danger "Yes your majesty....I'll...leave tonight"
"Ok boy dismissed" Tema bowed and left the room. The Queen remained sat smiling to herself
"now that I've taken care of that problem, now time to get rid of the sacred arte. Soldier!"
"Yes ma'am"
"What is the state of the enemies attack?"
"According to our scouts, it is indeed the Dark Rage Cannon as described by our history texts"
"And what is the size?"
"Currently the attack is still in two halves but estimated size currently is half the size of a house"
" summon all the mages at once"
"yes your majesty"
"We won't be beaten" said the majesty.
The sun had almost being swallowed by the land and Tema wondered towards his house, he wanted to say goodbye before he left and never came back with note still in hand. He slowly walked to Sophia's house and opened the door
"I'm home"
"evening Tema"
"hello Father"
"come on sit down. I've got some fresh bread for you" Tema sat down at the table trying to keep a happy face but Sophia could tell something wasn't right
"What's wrong Tema?" asked Sophia
"Sorry I'm just tired" he lied
"Come on Father, you slept enough in the morning" said Sakura
"alright Tema finish your supper and head to bed" Tema walked up to his room and lay there in the darkness. He waited a while until both of them were asleep and left the house through the window. He jumped to the empty street below and slowly walked towards the shopping district. It was very dark with only dim street lanterns making the road visible.
