The sun was high but a blanket of cloud obscured it's view.
"remind me again why did we come here?" asked Tema
"stop whining Father come on" groaned Sakura
"but its freezing"
The land was completely covered in white and the air was cold and sharp against the skin. "why couldn't have we gone somewhere warmer than this?"
"because this is the only place where the Fenrir makes its home and we need its fur for a job"
Tema and Sakura had journeyed to the glacier Peaks, far to the distance. They were tracking down a rare breed of wolf as they required its fur for a job they took from the guild at the academy and the glacier peak is the only place to find it. They were a fair ways up the mountain. The path they were on was narrow and that it slanted sharply down far below.
Sakura was leading and then stopped "why did you stop?"
"Come here look" she was pointing to some prints "are these the Fenrir prints?"
"Well yeah but it's the prints next to it" he showed him what looked like a shoe print "someone else it here and not that long ago"
"Well let's just get what we came for and get out of here before were frozen"
"You never stop whining do you" they advanced further up the mountain, snow was started to fall over the land and made vision difficult.
They continued a while and then heard growling and grunting "shh can you hear that?" asked Sakura
"Yeah it sounds like two things are fighting each other" they crept a little further up to see a 4 legged beast fighting someone. The person had a large cloak on so they couldn't see the persons face.
"Father that person's fighting a fenrir. Look see its silver tail" the fenrir was fairly big for its size and very nimble on its feet. The person held an axe in defence, the wolf lunged but the axe knocked it away but the wolf quickly recovered and lunged again although successful it couldn't quite reach the person face as it was being held by the neck then with a movement she twisted its head and the wolf fell over and remained still.
The person stood up and Tema and Sakura went to go see if the person was alright "hey are you alright?" asked Tema but got no response
"I'm I alright to get this fenrir's fur please?" asked Sakura but all she got was nod. Tema noticed the person seemed to cling to their arm, Tema could see that the arm was badly scratched and bleeding
"Hey your arm is badly hurt?" but the person recoiled "all right, all right I'll leave it alone"
"Father could you help me with this?"
"Ok hang on" Tema using a small blade was carefully cutting the fur of the beast but unbeknown to him an axe was being reared above him. Sakura had just finished getting the fur in her bag and looked up behind Tema
"Tema behind you!" Tema turned around and rolled out of the way, the axe landed on the ground causing vibrations all around the area. The attack also caused the cloak to drop off their head to reveal their face which surprised them.
