Hola! So,  I'm gonna try to get this and chapter 31 up maybe. It honestly all depends on my mood. Haha.

I woke up, coughing badly. At first, it felt like a simple tickle of the throat. And now it's burning  pain  through me. It's as if there were sharp talons slashing my throat, trying to escape.

"Why are you coughing?" My guard, whom I've gotten to know quite well these past couple days, asks, staring at me. She had long blonde hair that was pulled into a side ponytail with black highlights running through it. She had on black cargo pants, a black long sleeved shirt, and a bullet proof vest like the police wear. She had on actual combat boots and was holding a big gun.

Which was quite scary, in my opinion.

Her eyes were a baby blue, and she had clear skin.

Even for a Slayer, I had to admit she was pretty.

"I can't control it," I rasp, wiping my mouth, leaning back against my bed. My 'cell' was actually a small bedroom with a bed, dresser, and a bookshelf. The door was made of glass, with holes in them so I could talk if I needed, and had an entry thing for food. They could press a button on the outside which would slide a large metal door if they didn't want me to hear them.

Sucks, I know.

The girl frowned deeply. "You aren't supposed to be sick, though."

"Does it look like my intention was to get sick?" I muttered to her, since she was the only one who would let me get away with my sarcasm. "It's the last freaking thing I need right now."

"No kidding," I thought I heard her mumble.

I blinked at her. "What?"

"Nothing." She turned back to face the hallway, indicating that the conversation was over and wouldn't be brought up again.

I heard a voice in her ear, a deep but distant one. She pressed her two right fingers to her right hear and turned her head to the side. I couldn't see or hear it now, but I had a good view of her other ear which had a large scar running from the top of it to her jaw.

I narrowed my eyes into slits. It seemed everyone here had a scar. Well, almost everyone, at least.

"Okay." She turned back to me, her hand at her side now. "Breakfast is coming, Faye."

"Mm." I throw my head back on the headboard.

"Don't be like that."

"Why not? I was kidnapped."

"At least we're feeding you."

"Yeah." I sat up. "When I'm not being interrogated."

"It's not interrogation," she replied, defending her fellow Slayers. "It's questions."

"About my family and friends," I snap back, my pain forgotten. "If it's not about that, it's where my location is, even though you managed to kidnap me there!"

"They couldn't go anywhere but inside the house, you know. It was only that room, and they couldn't get the location of the place. It's too hidden, even though they were right inside of it."
