*Laney POV*

My ears were ringing from the commotion going on around me. Sirens. Screams. Crying. Everything seemed to be happening at once but I couldn't open my eyes to see what was going on.

"Laney you're going to be okay. We've got help for ya." The thick Irish accent sounded so familiar but I couldn't figure out who it was.

I began to be pushed and pulled back and forth. As they grabbed my dislocated shoulder I tried to let out a scream, but nothing came from me. It was like I was frozen. Everything around me was still happening but I couldn't move or make any noise.

I felt the mask pushed against my face. Something was connected around my neck and someone was tying something too tight around my upper leg.

"I'm pretty sure the shoulder is dislocated. Put something over the bleeding in that leg. She must have taken a hard fall, the back of her head is a bit swollen. Do some checks for head trauma." I felt my eyelids being pulled up and a bright light was shining down into my eyes.

"Her eyes show no signs of head trauma right now. Lets get her on the gurney and get her to the hospital, we can do more tests along the way and as we get there." I felt like I was flying through the air as I was lifted and then gently placed down.

My mind was spinning and I could tell we were now running. I heard the wheels against the floor as we turned corners back and forth. I tried to open my mouth. I tried to call Harry's name, but nothing came out. Suddenly the loudest, angriest scream I had ever heard came from a little ways away.

"YOU CAN'T DO THIS! SHE'S A BITCH THAT'S WHAT SHE IS! YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS LANEY!!"

I tried to process what I had just heard and who had said it, but then...

"She's losing too much blood! We need to get this taken care of and quick! Get Dr. Banket on the phone. Have them prep for surgery, we're going straight in!"

...everything I was hearing went silent.

It's funny how the mind works when your unconscious. It's like you have no control over your body, almost as if your mind and your body are no longer one. But your mind still knows what's going on.

I blinked my eyes a few times, trying to adjust to the light. Everything was white. Everything. The walls, the floor, the ceilings, the dress I was wearing. Wait what? I grabbed at the white flowing gown I was wearing. Where did this come from?

"Hello." I jumped slightly, startled from the voice. I looked around but saw no one. I slowly stood from the ground I had been sitting on. This was all just beginning to freak me out a little bit.

"Are you okay?" The voice came again, causing me to fall back on the ground.

"Hey, I'm up here." I looked around until my eyes fell on an all white staircase. I'm pretty sure that wasn't there a minute ago. My eyes followed the staircase up to a balcony. Leaning over the railing was a young boy, all dressed in white, just like me.

"Hey there! How you doing? How was your trip?" He smiled widely as he waved down at me. He couldn't be much older than ten or eleven.

"M-my trip?" My voice was soft and unsteady. I coughed a few times trying to clear my aching, dry throat.

"Oh my goodness, excuse my manners. Sorry let's try again. I'm Charlie, and you are..?" He gave me another smile. Who was this kid? Where am I? Why am I wearing this annoying white gown?
