Chapter 20 - Someones getting touchy

"Two more days until your back at school how do you feel?" Ashley questioned me eating from my food pile on my bed. Honestly? I am so nervous, so many butterflies in my stomach. I felt sick just thinking about it.

"Fine actually, I'm not really bothered I can put up with the little murmurs it's not that bad." I shrugged lying through my teeth with ease.

"Really? I'd be shitting myself, then again I'm not you." She chuckled slightly shoving more food in her mouth as I did the same.

"Although I got an email saying I have to take tests in all the subjects I'm doing? Why?" I asked her in confusion.

"New students do it, and I'm guessing they will decide if your worth keeping cause you know the trouble. It's like is she worth it." I rolled my eyes. Schools try to make you think they give a shit about you, they only care about their reputation.

I mean if they cared about it that much they'd bring in uniforms to stop the girls from being extremely slutty. "How about we all meet up at Bo's Sunday? I wanna see if Jakes okay I haven't talked to him since last week. Shitty I know." Ashley purses her lips nodding.

"Yh I'll see they should be free, what happened between you two anyway?" She questioned me crossing her legs. I fiddled with my sleeves looking her in the eye.

"I spoke to him after everything blew up with his parent and said we can't do this anymore and I know it'll be awkward but we have to try not to be, and he agreed. Funny how I guess I'm the one making it awkward?" I furrowed my eyebrows, knowing full well I'm a total and complete idiot.

I messed up I know that especially the uh... whole last time thing. I haven't purposefully ignoring him, but I have all the same. I've been busy trying to complete this project with Tyler.

Mark grounded me for 3 days so Tyler came around with his laptop, as we watched films and edited together although I didn't know much about computers to say I've never had one before I did ok.

"That easy? I heard him and Freya have been hanging around more like they used to." She smiled slightly zoning out into memories I guess.

"So Sunday?" I changed the subject every time it was mention I felt awful. "I'll go check!" She walked out before scurrying back in picking up a handful of food running out.

I sat in the booth leg frantically bouncing up and down, biting the knuckle of my thumb. "Calm down god your making me nervous!" Ashley hissed. I stopped my leg pulling my hand away stretching them out in front of me.

"Sorry..." I mumbled. I looked around, the place full of people. I looked outside as I heard a car door slam shut freaking out. I let out a sigh realising it wasn't the gang, instead it was the three goons.

"I'm getting a milkshake and fries want some?" She rolls her eyes at me before nodding.

"Yes! Chocolate." She said in a duh tone as I slid out going over to the counter sitting down on a stool, the girl coming up to me. "What can I get ya?" She says chewing some gum eyes trained I'm guessing the three idiots walking into the diner.

"2 fries a chocolate milkshake and a vanilla milkshake." I give her a tight smile, going back to bouncing my leg and biting my knuckle.

"Well if it isn't the one and only fight queen!" I heard Max speak up sitting next to me nudging me with his shoulder sending the waitress a wink.
