Hilbert handed nurse Joy all of his Pokémon.
"We'll take good care of them" she said to him as she handed her Audino the three pokéballs. "Adino!" the pink Pokémon next to her chanted in confirmation.
Hilbert also rented another room, since it was getting dark outside and he didn't want to walk in the dark.
He retrieved his Pokémon two hours later and gave them their food. Hilbert self went out of his room and ate in the cafeteria there. After he had finished his meal he got dressed in his sleep wear: sweatpants and a hoodie.
He let his Pokémon sleep with him on the bed, Swift fell asleep on his stomach and Leo found himself a nice spot on the rug on the floor. Flash also lay down on the floor and his mane glowed dimly, lighting the room a bit.
Hilbert smiled at his Pokémon and closed his eyes.
-
The night had been rough for Hilbert. The past few encounters with Team Plasma had helped create nightmares in his head about Rosa and Nate. How afraid they must be, probably all alone.
With his head clouded of thoughts he got dressed in some new clothes and threw his other clothes into his courrier bag. He was careful not to wake his Pokémon, he had carefully lifted Swift off of him and onto the bed and was careful not to hit Flash or Leo with his foot.
He went out of the room, into the cafeteria of the Pokémon Center and ordered a cup of coffee.
He mindlessly took a sip from his coffee and looked out of the window. It was raining outside, Hilbert hadn't noticed it. The boy looked at the windows and listened to the little ticks of the rain against the glass.
Hilbert went back to his room after he had finished his coffee, Swift and Flash were still asleep once he opened the door but Leo was up and waiting in front of the door.
Hilbert chuckled an stroked Leo's green head, "ser" he said and melted into Hilbert's hand.
"Let's wake them up, we have to move" Hilbert said with a small smile, Leo nodded and his vines appeared out of his hood. He hit the two Pokémon quite hard and they both shot up with a cry.
Swift immediately lunged at Leo with her claws glowing but Leo quickly dodged the attack. Flash got up with no turmoil and stood next to his trainer as the other two Pokémon continued to attack each other.
"Seems you're the only reasonable of them" Hilbert said to the Blitzle, he resisted the urge to face palm and didn't know what to do about the fighting Pokémon.
Flash stood next to him, also unsure of what to do but hid it with his flashing mane.
Flash's fur began to crackle with small amounts of electricity and he shot two tiny shockwaves at the two fighting Pokémon.
They both hissed when the tiny shockwaves and glared daggers into Flash. The electric type winked at them and followed Hilbert out of the room.
"Thanks Flash" Hilbert said to the Blitzle, the electric type nuzzled against his trainer's leg in return and happily trotted forward.
Leo and Swift soon joined Hilbert's side and the brunette locked the door.
He gave the key back to Nurse Joy and went outside into the rain.
The group was soaking wet within a few minutes and Hilbert sighed. He should've waited for the rain to stop, Swift looked everything but happy and even Flash looked doubtful. His fur crackled with electricity to show Hilbert he wasn't exactly happy with this weather. Back home he would've hid in a cave or under a big tree.
