He might find out throughout his journey, he had already learned a lot in the short amount of time that he had spent with Leo.

He learned to appreciate Pokémon and he had found two friends, he might even become friends with Cheren too.

Juniper had left the room to go and collect Leo and while they waited Cheren and Bianca were discussing on what to do after route 1.

Hilberts eyes darted across the lab, it was an ordinary lab with a few technical machines here and there. It wasn't as special as he had imagined, it didn't surprise him however. A child's imagination makes everything look very impressive and unreal. As a 10 year old he had imagined that the lab had the most high tech machinery and the most advanced researchers. His imagination was broken when his sister had left him behind to go on her Pokémon journey, he would've
loved to have gone with her but with his father gone his responsibilities were now Hilberts.

He had blamed everything on Pokémon, his father had been on the move to find the legendary stones and his sister had the chance to go on a Pokémon journey and had taken it leaving him in the process.

They had crashed in professor Junipers lab to wait till the morning for their journeys to begin. They were all sleep deprived thanks to Hilbert's little adventure the day before and were in need of some good rest. Luckily Juniper was kind enough to let them sleep there.

A door opened and out came Professor Juniper with Leo. The Pokémon looked fully recovered, he escaped Junipers grip and ran straight towards its trainer.

Hilbert picked the Grass Snake Pokémon up and cradled it in his arms.

Yes he had begun to like the Pokémon and wouldn't dare to lose it. He scratched Leo under his chin and the Pokémon let out some cute squeaks and closed his eyes. Hilbert smiled, "glad to have you back buddy" he whispered to the Pokémon. Leo let out a small squeak as he settled in Hilberts arms, the Pokémon was back to full health and seemed to be OK.

Seeing the small serpent in his arms made Hilbert feel more at ease.

The boy smiled at the little Pokémon and guided his attention back to his new found friends.

He just heard the last words that left professor Junipers mouth, "when you reach Acccumula Town I'll be there waiting for you, I'll explain some things at the Pokémon Center and I'll show you how to catch a Pokémon on Route 1".

Cheren nodded, "understood, we appreciate it" was his answer.

Juniper gave him a small smile and then shooed them out of her lab, "I'll meet you on Route 1, now go get ready or something".

When they got out of her lab the three teens stood there in silence.

"I think that I'll go check on my mum and dad one more time before I leave" Bianca murmured as she shuffled with her feet uncomfortably.

"Sounds good to me, I'll wait for the two of you on Route 1" Cheren answered as he readjusted his glasses back on the bridge of his nose.

"I'll come with you, I already said goodbye to my parents and don't have anything else to do" Hilbert looked at the raven haired boy with a smile.

Cheren didn't say anything and just nodded, the three of them said their see you soons and split up.

Bianca in the direction of her house and the two boys to the beginning of the route that separated Nuvema Town and Accumula Town.
