Drag Race

My phone buzzed on my bedside table and i flipped it over to see a message from Sweetpea .
Sweetpea
Drag race today , you up for it ?
Rosie
Oh im always up for a drag race

Later on i got myself ready and threw on my denim serpent jacket before running down the stairs and into the kitchen .
"Hold on your meant to be at school " Dad said looking at the watch on his wrist
"I should be but i also am meant to be going to a drag race" i say about to take off out the back door .
"Rosie Carter get back here " so i let go of the door handle and turn around so i am facing him again.
"Your at a good school Rosie , youve got to make use of it "
"Just today i promise " i say giving him a smile which i knew he wouldnt be able to resist. He hesitated before saying "fine but dont make this a habit "
"Thanks Dad love you " i shout before slammig the back door shut and walking around to the front of the house.
"What are you doing here ?" I say as i notice a tall dark haired serpent leaning against his bike .
"I did text you to say i was picking you up "
"Oh i was too busy convincing dad to not make me go to school " i say grabbing my phone to look at the messages he had sent me .
"Well your ride awaits " he says before getting onto his bike , i got on after him wrapping my arms around him . He drove to the usual place for races which was near the bridge as there was a clear long road which was bascially perfect for racing cars. As i got off his bike i instantly had Tonis and Fangs arms around me squishing me slightly.
"Okay guys " i say slightly breathless and they let go of me
"What on earth has gotten into you two "
"Maybe a few drinks " Fangs laughed before grabbing a red cup .
"So whos actually racing ?" I ask looking over at the cars
"Well theres two races going on , Jughead and Archie "
"Andrews is racing " Sweetpea says shocked
"Well with Jughead there going against Malachi " Fangs finished
"Well Jughead better up his game , Malachi is pretty good at this shit " i say looking over to the newly arrived ghoulies .
"Whos going afterwards ?" I asked
"Youngblood against Damon " he says . Youngblood and Damon were both serpent members . They both had joined a few months before i did .
"Well this should be interesting so im gonna grab myself a drink "
"Grab me one while your at it " Sweetpea said lifting his eyebrows . I wander off over to a keg to fill up two cups , as i was filling them i look up to see Reggie sitting on the front of a truck with Kevin and Cheryl . As i was about finished i hear Kevin say " not the kind of Drag race i would usually go to " making me smile to myself . As i went to leave the keg my eyes met with Reggies and he gave me a nod which I returned before going back to the others.
"Here you are " i say handing Sweetpea his drink . He was sat on the seat of his bike and Toni and Fangs were standing by Fangs bike .
"Sit down will you " he says looking at me standing
"Move over your fat ass then " i say making him flip me off . He then just patted his lap . So i took the hint and took a seat on his lap . As he rested one of his hands on my thigh i notice Reggie looking over but as i look up he turns his head . We saw Jughead and Malachi both get in their cars and pull up to the starting point , Toni got ready to start the race however Cheryl had beat to her .
"I usually do the honours "
"Not today cha cha , i was born for this moment " she says holding her red neckscarf in her hand .
"I may sound crazy but i can bet that something will happen between them two " i say taking a sip of beer.
"What ! Toni and Redhead " he says
"Yeah "
"Yeah your right you sound crazy "
"Give it time " Cheryl dramatically started the race and we heard the engines start making everyone clap and cheer . As the race went on i managed to get quite a few drinks down me . Fangs and Sweetpea were busy eyeing the ghoulies up and down , Toni was chatting to me about the photos she had taken at the school . We was chatting away to one another until we was interupted by a few people running back towards everyone.
"The cops are rounding everyone up "
"Fuck weve got to go " Toni said
"Wait what about Jug ?" I ask slightly worried
"Babe you cant stay and wait youll get arrested " Toni said but thankfully i see the car Jug was in pull up and he got out .
"Okay now we can go " i say hopping onto Sweetpeas bike and we all sped back to the southside together . All of us went to one of our little hangouts that was on the southside , it was a few sofas which surrounded a barrel which we used as a firepit .
"So who actually got arrested ?" Toni asked as we all sat round the fire that Fangs had just made .
"Malachi and quite a few of the ghoulies " he said with a sigh
"well at least there out of our hair for a little while i guess "
"Yeah you wait until there out though , i convinced them to race there gonna want our heads on a steak " he said pacing . I got up and wrapped my arms around him .
"Jug dont stress , when that happens we will deal with it " i pull away from him "we all will "
"No Serpent stands alone " Toni said standing up as Jughead wrapped his arm around me .
"No serpent stands alone " everyone repeats as we all stood around the fire together .
After an eventful afternoon i walked home and both Mom and Dad was home and sat cuddled up on the couch watching a tv show .
"Rosie come and sit down a second " Mom said so i went and took a seat on the other couch .
"Dad told me you didnt go school today "
"Yeah i went to a drag race "
"So i heard and the cops showed up " i nodded
"If you want to go races and things like that do it after school "
"Why have you got so strict about school all of a sudden , you wasnt when i was at southside high "
"Maybe because at Southside high they didnt teach you anything anyway , you have a lot of potential dont throw it away by ditching school " she says seriously
"Right ok" i say with a slight bit of attitude
"Dont have that attitude with me Rosie " she snapped
"Oh just lay off Mom " i groan
"Dont speak to your mother like that Rosie "
"Oh im going to Sweetpeas ill be back at somepoint "
"Alright go to your boyfriends then " Mom said knowing it was annoy me
"He is not my boyfriend !" I snap
"I dont think he knows that !" She snapped back
"What on earth would you know !" I say slamming the back door and beginning to walk to Sweetpeas trailer . I knocked on the door and soon it was opened and Sweetpea looked at me confused .
"What you doing here ? "
"Mom was annoying me so can i come in ?"
"Dont be stupid Carter of course you can " he says letting me in .
"You might regret coming in , its a bit messy" he says and i look round at the messy kitchen and lounge.
"Dont worry about it , im just gonna go for a smoke " i say about to leave and smoke outside .
"Just smoke in here , you seem like you need more than a ciggarette "
"Yeah a joint would be pretty nice right now " i say still slightly stressed "but ill just stick with this " i say grabbing my light .
"What was you and your mom even arguing about ?"
"About me not going to school and well " i hesitate before not finishing my sentence .
"What else ?"
"It doesnt matter , she just thinks she knows things when she has no clue " i stubbed out my ciggarette in the ashtray which was on the small table infront of us.  I looked over at him sitting on the other side of the couch , i moved closer to him leaning my head on his shoulder . He looked at me and my hand ran through the side of his hair . I would be lying if i said i didnt feel something for him .
"You wanna go to bed ?" He asks me quietly and i nod as both of us got up from the couch and made our way to his bedroom . I got down to my underwear and dived onto his bed.
"Someones eager "
"I just love sleep "
"I know something you love more than sleep " he jokily winked at me
"Fuck off Sweetpea " i laugh . He got in next to me .
"Turn the lamp off will you " he groaned
"Put your long ass arms to good use " i say shutting my eyes and turning my back to him . I felt him lean over and turn off the lamp.

I slowly opened my eyes rubbing them as i did so , i stretched before turning to see Sweetpea still asleep. So i grabbed my phone and replied to some of my messages leaving the one from my dad. I shook Sweetpea slightly and he groaned "what ?"
"Weve got to get up for school " i say and he just shuts his eyes again .
"Im going to make myself a tea , do you want anything ?" I ask as i get up
"Just water " he says still laying there with his eyes shut . I go to the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea and i grabbed a glass of water which i gave to him once i got back into the room. Both of us sat up in the bed and Sweetpea downed the water.
"Dont suppose you want to piss off your mom some more and stay here today instead of going school " he said huskily
"Well shes already annoyed at me so i might aswell " i say "im just gonna go sort myself out first and ill be back "'i say going to the bathroom and cleaning myself up by having a shower and brushing my teeth. I got back into bed and let Sweetpea have a shower . He soon came back in his hair still wet and layed next to me .
"Carter " he said looking at me
"What "
"Come here " he instructed so i got closer to him and his lips all of a sudden met with mine. Slowly he got himself on top of me as his lips went down to my neck .

That was pretty much what are day consisted of , good sex and good food . Around dinner time i left and Sweetpea went to the wyrm he had a meeting for a job , i opened the back door with my keys. Mom was in the kitchen , Dad was at work .
"A text to say when you was going to be home would have been nice , ive made enough so help yourself " she said bluntly referring to the pasta dish she had made .
"Will do next time . Thanks " i say grabbing a bowl and filling it .
"Rosie you might want to cover your neck up before seeing your Dad " she says looking at my neck which had a couple of lovebites on it . I nod before going to eat upstairs.
