Toilets that flush

A new day in a new school , there were much better things to be doing with my day then spending it attempting to settle in at Riverdale high . A school known for all its highly academic students who mostly dont get on with people like me . What i mean by that is they dont get on with Serpents . I had been a serpent for almost two years now , both my mom and dad were serpents however my mom had retired bascially as soon as i joined and so did my dad a little while after but he still gives them a hand when its needed. I slammed my bedroom door shut and ran down the stairs , of course i was running late . We was one of the only serpent familys to live in a house only because my mom and dad worked other jobs as well as serpent jobs so they could afford it .
"What has that door ever done to you " my Dad said shaking his head with a grin on his face .
"Well if it didnt exist i wouldnt have to leave my room and go to school " i say and my dad began laughing .
"Darlin its just a new school , its not the end of the world " Mom said pouring my dad a coffee.
"A school full of snobby northside kids , it should go well "
"Youve just got to show them what the southside are made of " Dad said as i threw my stuff into my bag .
"Have you got a light ?" I ask and my mom chucks me a lighter .
"Thanks . Im off Tonis outside waiting " i say as i go to leave . "Dont get in too much trouble " i hear my Dad say as i went out the door . As i stepped outside i saw Toni leaning against her bike .
"Running late this morning i take it " she said looking at me
"Fashionably late " i say flicking my jet black hair
"As always " she said with a smile . We both got onto our bikes and made our way to the school , we was going to meet all the serpents who were transferred outside so we could all go in together . The back story with me and Toni is that she helped me become a member of the serpents offically she helped me remember all the laws . Once it came to the final part which was the serpent dance , she was there at the bar serving that night . She watched me dance and us two celebrated afterwards with a few drinks as i waited for her to close up . Both of us were quite tipsy and i invited her back to mine because it was closer , we got into bed to originally sleep buts thats not really what happened . We did sleep eventually and then repeated what we had done the night before in the morning , both of us knew there was nothing there romantically it was just a night and morning of fun for us . She is now one of my closest friends probably because she took me under her wing from the start. We rode into the school car park and parked up our bikes near the group of leather coated bodies . Both of us got off our bikes and joined the others.
"Sweetpea you actually showed up " i say in shock joining his side
"Only to knock some northsiders heads " he said before grabbing me and the two us began to have a scuffle .
"Pea stop before i put you on your ass " i say
"Oh if only you could " he joked before letting me go .
"Right lets get this over with " Fangs groaned as the group wandered into the school through the entrance instantly eyes were all on us . I looked around and at how different it was to my previous school southside high . Jughead lead us all down the hallway to a table where Archie was stood with Hiram Lodges daughter. We all knew Archie from a few nights ago when the serpents went to his house for a fight. We knew the names of some of the northside kids mainly because Jughead was with northsides sweetheart Betty cooper .
"On behalf of the students and faculty here at Riverdale High , welcome to your new school ! " Lodge said enthusiastically . Me and Fangs took a look round to all the eyes that were on us. "To ease this transition ive set up a registration desk where you can get your locker assignments , class schedules and a list of sports and extra curriculars. We encourage each and every one of you to drink deeply from the cup that is fair Riverdale " she said before being interupted by a ginger girl on the stairs coming down with a guy i recognised from the boys fight the other day.
"Stand down Eva Peron !" She said as she reached the bottom of the steps
"Theres the school spirit i fondly remember " Jughead muttered
"Cheryl , no one invited fascist barbie to the party "
"Wrong Veronica , no one invited Southside scum to our school . Listen up ragamuffins . I will not allow Riverdales high above average GPA to suffer because of classrooms that are overcrowded with underachievers . So please do us all a favour and find some other school to debase with your hardscrabble ways " she finished off making Toni step forwards.
"Why dont you come over here and say that to my face ? " Toni said crossing her arms sassily .
"Happily queen of the buskers " Cheryl said
" okay guys ! Everyone can we just put our northside - southside differences apart and start over ? A new slate ?" Archie said attempting to break the tension .
"You dont speak for the bulldogs , Andrews . And need i remind you , these greaser snakes showed up at your place trying to kick your ass" Reggie said eyeing Sweetpea .
"Happy to finish what we started " Sweetpea said about to lunge forward but Fangs grabbed him . I stood inches away from Reggie .
"If you even lay a finger on him , you and your cheerleaders are gonna have a lot more to worry about then just him " i warn looking up at his brown eyes and flicking them over to Cheryl.
"God i am so over the toxic masculinity in this hallway right now " Veronica said throwing her arms and wandering away .
We heard a shout " All right ! Thats enough pomp and circumstance . Everyone get to class , now !" The principal shouted at everyone , slowly we all wandered to our lessons .
Later on we all rejoined together in the student common room , all of us were sat on the couches .
"I dont think weve properly met . Veronica Lodge " she said as she introduced herself .
"Of the park avenue lodges " Jughead said extending his pinky finger
"Toni Topaz "
"Oh like the purple coloured gemstone . Love it " of course she thought of that such a typical rich girl .
"And im Josie McCoy , formerly of the pussycats now just Josie. This is Kevin " she said pointing to the neat looking boy also sat on the couch.
"Whats your name ?" He asked Fangs
"Fogarty or you can call me Fangs . Your last names Keller right ?"
"How did you know that ?"
"Joaquin and i used to hang out , he used to talk about you all the time "
"No way you were Joaquins lad " i say
"I guess i was , yeah " our conversation was interupted by the principal coming in .
"You guys !" He said looking over to us we all looked at each other " yes you come with me now !" All of us got up and followed him out into the hallway .
"Now which one of you defaced our school seal with this graffiti ?" He said and i looked down at badly painted snake , it was quite clear it wasnt any of us .
"This is what they do Principal Weatherbee, they tag their turf"
"If we had tagged that it would look a lot better trust me " i say glaring at him , he was just smirking.
"My god Reggie could you be anymore transparent ?" Veronica said over to Reggie .
"Effective immediately , no gang behaviour of any kind will be tolerated at my school . As of this moment , no more serpent jackets ."
"What!" I heard everyone groan
"No more serpent jackets ! All tattoos are going to be covered . Possession of any gang paraphernalia whatsoever will lead to immediate suspension. Are we clear ?! Thats all " he said before walking off . All of us decided to go to the wyrm for a quick drink .
"So girl what you having ?" Toni said taking a seat at the bar
"Whiskey neat . I need it after today " i groan
"Boys ?"
"Beer " they reply in unison . Toni ordered our drinks , mine easily went down in one go . Fangs held onto the two beers as Sweetpea played on the arcade game. Jughead had been rambling on about the school for the past half hour .
"I cant believe you guys dont even see it , Weatherbee is profling us . Tellin us what to wear . What next ? Brain implants controlling what we think ?"
"Jughead you sound like a crazy conspiracy nut " Toni said
"He is a crazy conspiracy nut thats why "
"A school closed down " Toni said
"A crappy school " Sweetpea butted in still playing his game
"Yeah and now were at a better one ,the computer lab and text books " Toni carried on
"And toilets that flush " Sweetpea butted in once again making me and Fangs laugh.
"Getting transferred to Riverdale high is the best thing that could have happened "
"Maybe ever " Sweetpea said eyes focusing on the arcade game
"So if i have to take off my jacket 8:30 to 3:00 Monday to Friday . Hey im down with that " Toni said taking a sip of her drink . Sweetpea whacked the machine so im guessing he lost .
"Hey do you wanna come back to mine ?" I ask
"Yeah lets go " Sweetpea says grabbing his beer .
"Game of pool ?" Fangs asked Toni and them two walked over to the pool table and Jughead opened his laptop and began typing away. Me and Sweetpea walked to my empty house , Mom was at work she worked at Riverdale general she only worked as the reception , dealing files and all that stuff. Dad was at work aswell and he worked as a mechanic at the southside garage , after he finished he was going to see FP.
I swung open the front door and let him in .
"You got anymore beer ?" He asked
"Why dont you check the fridge ?"
"I think these are your dads " he said scanning the fridge
"You know he wont care , help yourself " he grabbed a beer and joined me on the couch .
"What a day "
"Tell me about it all i could think about was starting another fight with them bulldogs "
"Why do i feel like your going to be suspended within the next week " i laugh
"Well we shall soon see " he says drinking some more of his beer before putting it down on the side cabinet.
"Right Carter lets get to what you actually invited me here for " he smirked as he said my last name .
"Hm what would that be ?" I say pretending to act clueless
"Dont give me that " he said before lifting me onto his lap . I wrapped my finger in his dog tag necklaces and pulled him closer to me so i could connect his lips with mine . This was beginging to become a regular thing with me and Sweetpea , niether of us was in a relationship and we were having fun . There was no feelings involved ... Well sort of . I cared about him a lot as me and him have grown extremly close since i joined the serpents but i dont know about him .
