This chapter and this whole story, every story I will ever write, is dedicated to my darling Cleo. It's been nearly three months since you've left me and I've finally gathered the strength to continue writing as I have been doing because this is who you knew me as. You'll always be here with me, a part of my soul. Rest in peace, my angel ❤️~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~~*~*~*~*~*~

There's a certain warmth that you feel when embraced by someone that sparks a special feeling in your heart and makes it course through your veins, invading all your senses and just leaves you breathless at the end. That someone is the only person who could invoke such a sensation, the only one capable of igniting a spark in the depths of your soul which develops into all-consuming flame which flows through your entire being, engulfing your body and soul to trap it in a magical trance.

My eyelashes fluttered open slowly as our lips remained mere centimetres from each other, our breaths mingling in sync and instinctively, my gaze averted to his parted lips before moving back to his smouldering gaze which seemed to have snapped back up to meet mine like he had followed the same path as me. Paul's thumb gently caressed the skin near the corner of my lips making goosebumps appear on my hands and a fluttering sensation in my heart made it's presence known.

I can't hide it from myself anymore. No matter how much I try to deny it, try to run from myself and from him, the truth is that the feelings I have are more than platonic. I'm falling for him.

I am falling in love with Paul Lahote.

My breath hitched as my eyes widened slightly, finally admitting to myself that I couldn't stop myself and that I didn't even try. Paul's eyebrows furrowed as his gaze darkened a shade whilst watching the different emotions flickering through my gaze-almost like he could read and understand them word for word. It was almost like he knew exactly what was going through my mind in that moment or it might have been because of the fact that I always seem to drop my guard around him and my eyes betray me, displaying the emotions I would normally keep locked away in the chambers of my heart but he was able to see them.

He could see straight into my soul if he wanted to.

"Paul, the Cullens' are on their-" a pained cry escaped my lips as I jerked forward at the sound of Jake's voice which made my forehead collide with Paul's and to make it worse, my chair tipped backwards but seconds before the chair made impact with the ground, Paul's hand grabbed onto mine to support me which left me in a peculiar position, my knees bent and back leaning at a forty-five degree angle whilst the chair clattered on the floor "-way" Jake's voice trailed off as he watched us with an arched eyebrow and an expression which screamed; 'yes, I'm judging you, you bloody retarded fools'.

Not even two baited breaths after, the door slammed open whilst Jake was still in the way so it hit him right in the back-getting his head too- and he groaned as he hunched over and cradled the back of his head. Paul and I exchanged a quick glance before looking over at the culprit, none other than my lovely sister, who had a wince plastered on her face as her gaze alternated between Jake and Sam's broken door. Her alarmed gaze turned to me and I could easily tell she was having an inner conflict and was unable to decide what to do.

Feel bad for injuring the man she has grown up admiring or burst out crying that she broke Sam's front door.

"Nessie!" Jake cried out in shock as he straightened up and only kept one hand on his head, his cheeks heating up with embarrassment which caused Paul and I to let out a choked laughter due to our efforts to stifle it but our efforts went in vain as Jake tilted his head back with a deadpan expression "I can't see why you two would assume you're in any position to laugh. Paul, your backside is literally hanging onto the chair for dear life and Addie, you are like two centimetres away from kissing the ground instead of Paul" my entire face heated up with a crimson red hue and before I could blink an eye, I fell the last two centimetres to the ground and a startled 'oof' left my lips.
