~Chapter 1: The Awakening~

~EDWARD~
If I could cry, I would

 My Bella...my beautiful Bella was fighting for her life for the past 2 days. She would either turn and become a vampire or......she would...die. I squeezed my eyes together in pain, I can't feel, I'm the living dead but Bella taught me to love and to live and without her...I'm still just the living dead. Everything is going wrong, Bella is dying and Renesmee was imprinted on by that mutt. 

Why me?! 

All the sadness turned into rage as I punched down some trees in the woods and as I was about to punch another tree, Alice ran towards me leaping in excitement "Edward!!" she exclaimed frantically "what is it Alice?" I asked impatiently "Bella's transformation is nearly done but I need you to see something" she said grabbing my hand and pulling me back into the house.

"Alice! Can you tell me exactly what you're doing?!" I asked exasperated as she dragged me into Bella's room. I walked to Bella's side and saw that she was looking much better and she would awaken soon, hopefully. "Thanks..." I stopped short when I heard 4 heartbeats instead of 3, only Bella had a weak heartbeat, and Jacob and Renesmee but this one was weak just like Bella's...

My eyes trailed down to Bella's stomach only to see a bump.

No...that can't be possible, Bella was pregnant with twins? 

If we don't get the baby out now, it will die. I quickly recovered from the initial shock "Carlisle!!" I shouted panicked, I can't let my baby die "Carlisle!" I shouted again and this time he was in the room, he looked at me confused but then he heard the extra heartbeat and didn't waste any time in getting his equipment.

"We need to do a c-section. Bella can't push and the baby will die if we leave it any longer" Carlisle explained cutting the dress at Bella's stomach to allow access "Edward go call your mother" Carlisle said and I nodded running downstairs. 

After about 10 minutes, I heard the soft cry of a baby and I sped upstairs where Carlisle held his grandchild "it's a girl" he smiled at me as he handed her over into my arms, my gaze fixed on my child.

I never thought I would have my own child and now, I've been blessed with two beautiful daughters.

 "She's beautiful" a smile spread across my lips and I kissed her forehead before observing her features closely. She had pale ice cold skin, her facial structure was just like Bella but I couldn't see her eyes since she was asleep "she's a hybrid but she is mostly vampire with a little bit of human blood hence the weak heartbeat" Carlisle informed but before I could say anything Bella's heartbeat was weaker than before "it's nearly time, give her to me, I'm sure Bella would want to see you when she awakens" Carlisle smiled gently and I nodded "we're going to give your mommy a surprise" I paused to kiss the baby's forehead "Carlisle have Alice keep her away from Bella" I grinned as he chuckled taking the baby away from me.

I waited in anticipation as Bella awakened...

~BELLA~

Short breathes...I could feel the venom spreading throughout my body, my organs and muscles were freezing...I was becoming a vampire. 

It was always what I wanted, to live by Edward's side for eternity and now there's nothing stopping me. My eyes opened as soon as my heart stopped beating. 

I could see everything, the fine writings on the wall, a drop of water, the dust and Edward. He was standing there looking at me with his hand outstretched, I moved my hand at lightning speed to observe it. I slowly got up as I put my hand in Edward's "you're beautiful" he whispered lovingly as he caressed my face. I smiled but all of a sudden my throat started to burn "you need to hunt" Edward stated and I nodded, taking off.
