I Need You

Chapter 21

We went last week to get a blood test. I couldn't wait t find out the gender. I wanted to announce it to everyone. Suddenly my phone rang, it was the doctor office. Thankfully Namjoon wasn't here. He had to go visit someone.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hi, is this Lola Kim?"

"Yes, this is."

"Hello Mrs. Kim. I am calling to give you the results of your blood test."

"Okay."

"It looks like you are having a daughter."

"Really? Thank you."

"You are welcome. Have a great day."

"You too."

I quickly ran to Jin. I found him in the kitchen with Yoongi and the guys.

"Jinnie, I need to speak to you privately."

"Okay." he answered and followed me to his room.

"I just got the results from the blood test. I'm having a girl." I say excitedly.

"Really? I'm so excited."

"Yeah, I want to do something to surprise Joonie."

Well let's think about it. But Jimin has to talk to you."

I nod and we walk back in the kitchen. Jimin was sitting with a big smile on his face.

"Jimmie, what's up?" I ask.

"Follow me." Jimin said.

So I did. He lead me to the living room. There sat my father. He looked up when I entered the living room.

"Hello Lola." he said.

"Hello."

"How are you?" he asked.

"I'm fine. Just been tired."

"First off sit, please?"

I sat on the couch opposite of him. I wrung my hands nervously.

"So I want to thank you for giving me a chance to apologize and make things right. I'm sorry for how my words came out the last time. I was just shocked."

"Okay."

"And I have always wanted a daughter. I hope you can forgive me for how I acted. I never wanted to make you feel like you weren't wanted."

"I forgive you. But its going to take time to trust you. I'm sure you can understand why." I say.

"Of course. If I knew about you from the beginning, I would have fought to get you. Please know that."

I just smiled. We sat there talking about him and my brothers. Apparently I am the only girl. That's okay though.

"So my wife Hana and the boys want to meet you. But only when you are ready." he says.

"Okay. Just give me some time to soak up all this information. This is a lot."

"Well, I have to get back to Hana and the boys. They are at the hotel. Here is my number if you want to get in contact with me." my dad said handing me a paper.

"Thank you dad." I said with a smile.

He stood there with wide eyes. I got up and hugged him.

"By the way congrats on the baby."

"Thanks. Be ready, the baby is coming soon." I say.

He nodded and I walked him out the door. I closed it with a smile. I turned and saw Jimin looking at me with a huge eye smile.

"I'm so glad you patched things up with uncle Ji-Hoo. And I'm so happy that we are family." Jimin said.

"Yeah, I'm surprisingly happy as well."

I laid in bed the rest of the day. I was tired and I was processing all that happened today. Soon, Namjoon came in the room. I smiled as he walked to the bed.

"Hello angel." Namjoon said, sitting on the side of the bed.

"Hey."

"So I hear you met with Ji-hoo today."

"Yeah. And we patched things up. And we are going to start a father-daughter relationship. He even gave me his number, to text him when I want or need to." I said with a smile.

"Good. I'm glad. Now I'm going to take a shower. And then I will join you for a movie." Namjoon said, kissing me.

I nodded and got up to put on one of his shirts and laid back in bed. I turned on the tv and searched for a movie I wanted to watch. Then I waited for Namjoon to come out. I must have dozed off because suddenly I felt the bed dip next to me. I opened my eyes and saw Namjoon laying next to me with a smile on his face.

"Sorry for waking you" he says.

"It's okay." I said snuggling into Namjoon.

I quickly fell asleep, mentally exhausted from the day. I woke up the next day to an empty bed. Getting up I checked the time. It was almost noon. I can't believe I overslept. I walked to the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth. Once done, I got dressed in shorts and a simple tshirt. I then walked downstairs to the kitchen. Jin was in there cooking, like always.

"Hey Jinnie." I say.

"Lola. Hello. Have a nice sleep?" he asked.

"Yeah. I cant believe that I slept in. I don't usually do that."

"Joon knew how exhausted you were so he ordered everyone to leave you alone."

"Ah."

I sat down and Jin set food in front of me. I ate happily.

"So I thought of an idea to surprise Joonie and the rest." I say with a smile.

"Really? What?" Jin askes excitedly.

"Can't say right now. There might be ears around." I say.

Jin laughed and nodded. Once I was done eating, I walked back to my room and grabbed my laptop. I searched for some ideas on how to tell Namjoon and the guys. I found the perfect thing and ordered it. Getting next day delivery. Once I was done I texted Jin asking him if he could make a fancy dinner tomorrow night. I was excited to reveal the gender to everyone. Then I texted Enid and invited them over, telling her that it was a surprise. I smiled as I got back out of bed and walked to Namjoon's office.

"Joonie." I say.

"Yes Angel?" Namjoon asked.

"Can we go do something fun today? I'm bored being in this house."

"Sure, where do you want to go?" he asks.

"The beach."

Suddenly Namjoon received a call. HIs face fell.

"Joonie, is everything okay?" I asked when he hung up.

"No, my father has gotten worse. He is bed bound. The doctor thinks he wont make it much longer. And he has been asking for us."

"Okay, let me go change and then we can grab Tae and go." I say.

Namjoon nodded and I quickly walked to my room. I pulled on some black skinny jeans, and a pretty purple blouse. I put my hair in a bun, and put my shoes on. When I walked in the living room I saw Tae and Namjoon with glum faces. I grabbed their hands and we walked outside. I was glad that Namjoon got someone to drive. We climbed in the car and off we went.
