Elizabeth's: Pov
"Damian...is that really you.." I said eyes wide open in shock. He removed his hood and I couldn't help but see a scar on the side of his face. But he had the same gentle look on his face.
"Elizabeth.... I'm shocked that it's actually you I thought I'd never see you again." As he said that I ran into his arms nearly knocking him down. I didn't care if he hated me I just wanted to hold him.
"I saw them they hurt you Damian I'm so sorry." I said sobbing at this point as he held me tightly.
"When I saw they took you away I tried to get to you but one of them knocked me out."
Then Laurance decided to speak up. "Is that all that happened to you or your just not gonna tell her the truth." Laurance said in a stern voice.
I stepped away from Damian and looked at Laurance confused. "Laurance what are you talking about?" I said choked up.
"He's a Shadow knight." As he said that I looked back at Damian. "No he couldn't be no."
"Damian..." I said still shocked.
"Lizzy listen I wanted to tell you when we were alone. That way./-."
"So you'd get your immortality by killing her is that right?" Laurance said in a threatening tone. He stepped forward and grabbed my arm pushing me behind him.
"Come on I know I'm a shadow knight but so are you Laurance and you're saying I'd hurt her no I would never ever hurt her. I became one against my will." He said sincerely.
"Laurance please stop. Give him a chance please." I pleaded I couldn't deal with losing him again not when I know he's alive.
Laurance lowered his guard. "Okay but he has to come with us to the guard station they need to know he's here."
"Thank you Laurance I understand you're doing this to keep Elizabeth safe and put your mind at ease."
*Time skip one hour later*
"Elizabeth we need to talk about Damian." He pulled me to the side out of ear shot.
"Laurance I understand what a Shadow knight is you don't need to warn me."
"Elizabeth listen to me not all Shadow knights are like me and Vylad."
"I know I know but..." I said bitting my lip. "I just feel better knowing he's alive still there's still so much I'm holding to."
"Elizabeth being a shadow knight and having control is difficult. There are times when me and Vylad feel the calling to the nether. There are even times where we feel are selves fading into the darkness but we have to fight those feelings. The point I'm making here is do you think Damian is going to be able to handle that?" He looked into my eyes.
I held my breath I didn't know if he could but I have to believe in him.
"Laurance I have to.." My voice shaking.
Laurance's eyes widened. "Elizabeth remember this is your call, we don't know anything about Damian other than what you've told me."
