Chapter 9

Elizabeth's POV

After two weeks of staying with Hyra my injuries were healed perfectly and I gained some weight as well considering I was starved at the lab. I still haven't told anyone about what I did at the lab since it wasn't something I wanted to remember.

I've grown close with Garroth actually since I first met him he apologized to me for yelling at me and I forgave him. He's going easy on me right now considering I got still recovering. I still can't sleep at night because of my nightmares of that place. But I get enough sleep to function Laurance is trying to walk now without hurting his injuries it looks really painful for him.  A couple of times I've had to help him up from him falling down but I don't mind. Right now I'm sparing with Garroth.

"Elizabeth focus!" Garroth then aimed a sword at me. I blocked his attack.
"You're a bit rusty but don't let that excuse go to your head."

"Promise me I don't want to be useless either." I said aiming a blow at him almost catching him by surprise.

"Really had me fooled I won't go easy on you now." Garroth picked up the pace with his blows now leaving me to go on the defensive. His blows we're getting closer to me. I felt a tug at my heart as if I was being asked if I needed help I held onto that feeling letting my power loose.

I transformed into my divine form. Feeling as if I'd loose control any second. Garroth stopped his attacking and stood back looking amazed.

"You alright Elizabeth sorry I didn't want to push you that far."

I breathed out heavy Irene damn it's hard de transforming back. I breathed out trying to calm down. It took a couple of minutes but I was able to transform back.  "It's alright. It's been awhile since I've done that. But you should be more careful Garroth I don't really know how to transform back quickly like you can."

"It's alright that's why I was doing that. It's important to need to learn how to control it at will before you transform back." Garroth said as he walked to Hyras home. "We're done for today let's get some water."

Laurance was sitting on a chair outside the house watching us fight for the past few days Garroth still hasn't approached him about their argument. "You did a great job out there Elizabeth."

I smiled. "Thanks Laurance how has your recovery been going."

Laurance scratched the back of his head. "Not as fast as I hoped." Laurance said getting up. Planning to walk to the house and he nearly falls over.

"Laurance be careful." I said holding him up.

"Ugh I hate being treated like a baby. I can barely walk on my own."

"Laurance just let us help you alright no one minds helping you."

"Hmph." Laurance grunts.

We entered Hyra's home and I sat Laurance down at one of the dining chairs and sat next to him. Garroth spoke up. "Aphmau's coming here with Cadenza, Lilith and,Alena tomorrow."

"I can't believe I'm meeting them when I was little I always was amazed by the good deeds Aphmau did where ever she went." Laurance looked a bit guilty looking off to the side.

"Laurance stop looking like that." Garroth spoke up. "Cadenza is coming here to see you don't look like that before you even see her."

"How can I even apologize to her for doing that though I hurt both of them I hurt you." Laurance said softly.

"Laurance although you did that I forgive you but don't you ever do that again."

Laurances eyes widened. "You you forgive me but I thought you wouldn't I."
