I woke up in a chair which I was chained to. I heard whispering from outside the room."where the hell am I?" when I looked around the room I just saw the red darkness of the walls almost like blood.

Flash back~
"Where am I? Why can't I see? Why am I blindfolded? Why am I alone? Where is my family, my village please tell me they're ok there was a fire. I want to see them it's so cold here I'm scared please if they're dead I don't know if I'd be able to forgive myself."

Real time~

Why am remembering this I already know that they were all killed. Please just leave me alone let me not be haunted by them I know I failed. I failed as their guard to protect them if only I could've not been in that village if I knew what trouble I'd cause them. Then they wouldn't be dead.

Elizabeth slowly lowered her head in self pity. Then shadow lord walked in.

"Hello Descendent of Menfia"

"Why did you take me here what do you want with me?"

"I'm sorry for not introducing myself I'm/" I cut him off.

"The shadow lord right what do you want with me because right now I'm not in the mood to be your."presence."

"Temper temper you always were quick with the come backs now come on why don't you tell me your name."

"You don't need to know you have no reason to ask anything about me." I spat.

" I wouldn't be so rude if I was you."

"I'm just showing you that I'm not afraid of you and I'm not my ancestor so you can let me go."/I'm cut off by him grabbing my throat choking me.

"You are here since I wanted to have a conversation with you but since your being so disrespectful I guess you wouldn't want to know how I found you after all your line of ancestors are considered to be very rare."my eyes widened.

"Why do you want to have a conversation with me."I gritted through my teeth I can't breathe.

"Because your ancestor menfia was a dear friend of mine one of the divine warriors you are the only one who is resistant to my powers so." I have to make sure you don't meet "them" to stop my plans."
Who does he mean by "them" the divine warriors is who he's referring to.
As I finished my thought he aimed his other hand at me with magic power growing in his right hand.

I loosened his grip and fell to the ground. "Listen I have no idea what your talking about honestly in fact I have no idea what kind of person menfia was but if you really want to kill me then go right ahead you wouldn't be the first." I said daring him out of breath clutching my throat.

He stopped and looked at my eyes "You've given up then never in a million years would think a descendent of her would say that." He said that shocked.

"Well I don't consider myself very fond of my ancestor she ruined my life." Then out of nowhere I heard screaming and the ground began shaking. A shadow knight then came rushing into the room. "My lord the Resistance is attacking the castle."

"WHAT how far have they gone I thought you took care of it. He looked towards me with his red eyes as if looking in my soul.
"We'll continue this later then bring her to one of the torturing rooms but don't hurt her I have more to discuss with are guest."

Then the shadow knight grabbed my arm and twisted it behind me roughly.

"Hey get your hands off me!" He wouldn't budge.
"Let go!" I yelled I tried to transform and felt dizzy how my powers why can't I use them why I'm tired is that why?

"Oh and if you wondering why you can't transform it's because of a magic seal Shad put on your body."

"You you bastards leave me alone!" Then I elbowed him in the stomach that loosened his grip and I ran down the hall with him running from behind. TWith me getting him off my tail. I just kept running down hallways looking for a way out then

-CLASH

I ran into someone a shadow knight for sure I shot up to run but he grabbed my arm pulling me back towards him.
"Hey hold on are you Elizabeth."he said trying to reassure me I'm not buying that.

"Get off of me get off of me!" I said trying to break his grip.

"Stop hold on." be pulled me closer to him and towards a corner with a hand over my mouth as shadow knights went passed us in a frenzy probably looking for me.
"I'm not here to hurt you I swear" he said in a whisper.

"Where the hell is she?!" They said as they left the hall.

Then I bit down in his finger hard he let go then I ran and he grabbed my arm again. "Listen please just calm down I know Laurance" I stopped and looked at him in disbelief. "See I'm with the good guys Laurance asked me to get you he's worried about you."

"He's worried about me?"

"Yes there's no time to waste now we need to get out of here."

"How do I know your not lying."

"Im one of the sons of the lord of oakasis Vylad Romeve." I looked at him with shock but that son died supposedly.

"But no your the one that"

"Died went missing is that what you were going to say"

"I'm sorry"

"It's ok your not wrong and I don't mind lets get out of here"

As we went through the palace I heard swords clashing. I hope Laurance is ok.

-At the portal

As we walked towards the portal I realized that Laurance wasn't with us. "Wait where's Laurance you said he came here to help me?"

"Listen don't worry about him"I cut him off.

"Don't worry about him why shouldn't I be worried he saved me I owe him." The face of the shadow knight I saw fighting was the knight I've come to know "wait a second that was that him fighting back there wasn't it?!" Then I realized. "He's all alone we left him we have to help!"
"NO you have to come with me we can't save him!"
"I'm not going with you! I can't just leave him here now that I know what a horrible place this is wrong!"

"He's already a lost cause he doesn't feel the same he doesn't care even if he did come here to help. It was his instinct as a guard to know the difference between right and wrong he knows that it was right of him to save you but he can't be close to you in other words he can't feel your emotions towards him." Vylad said

"LAIR just because he's a shadow knight doesn't mean anything just because you can't understand him doesn't mean I don't! he can't have friends. Are you even listening to yourself. I understand what is right and what is wrong and what's wrong is the fact that you want me to leave him in here alone for the last time I'm not going with you!"

"Fine but promise me this that you will come back alive I don't want to have to tell them that I lost the only descendent of menfia."

"I promise but the people you were talking about that are descendants if they wish to control my actions I will not stand with them."
"They are kind people they won't hurt you or seek to control they only wish for your help there is lives on the line."

"I know."

I ran away from the portal as Vylad entered it to the over world. It's going to be hard but I know I made the right decision. Finding where I stand and what my values are will help me become a guard again. I need to find something worth fighting for. Laurance saved me. Now I have to save him.
