Chapter 5

Lauren's POV

It's been a few days since that concert with Dani. I haven't talked to Daniel since. I think that was just God giving me the fun night i was asking for, trying to get my mind off things. But i'm still thinking about another guy, Noah. Yes he was in a relationship but he still hung out with me and talked to me. I tend to fall for guys who are already taken...

I decided to go to the grocery store, I needed to buy some food before I went back home. I was going to go with amy this morning but she left without me. Jerk.

I was walking around produce getting some vegetables, but two random people got in my way while i was walking so I had to back up. As i was backing up I ran into someone. I turned around quickly to apologize but then I recognized his face.

Me : Oh i'm so sor-

Me : Oh Hey...

Noah : Hey Laur, it's been awhile how are you.

-Yea it has been awhile. He stopped talking to me.

Me : I'm good ya know just been working and hangin with the boiz *puts surf hands up*

-I am so awkward ew.

Noah : Haha well I would love to catch up, maybe grab some coffee or some lunch right now if you're down.

- Does he seriously want to hang out with me right now when he has a GIRLFRIEND. Are you kidding me?

Me : Uh yea sure just let me finish up here.

-Okay I cant really say no to that face, I still have feelings for him.

I went to pay and put the stuff in the car. Then I quickly went home to put everything up so I could go meet Noah for lunch. When I got home Amy was making herself some lunch.

Amy : hey laur you want me to make you anything.

- I quickly started putting everything i bought away as we talked.

Me : No i'm actually about to go to lunch with... someone.

Amy : *looks at me with a surprised grin* Oh who? is it the guitar player from the other night.

Me : Oh no that wasn't really anything. It's Noah actually.

Amy : What!? I thought he stopped talking to you!? I thought he was taken?! Lauren please don't get yourself hurt again.

Me : Calm down it's nothing serious we are just catching up and getting some food. I'll be fine. I'll see you later okay?

Amy : Alright but tell me what happened when you get back.

Me : Deal.

- She's right, i'm probably gonna get hurt again, but i'm willing to take the risk. It felt right with him, maybe he's single now and that's why he wanted to hand out. Maybe he always had feelings for me he just didn't want to hurt the other girl. I don't know everything happens for a reason.

Daniel POV

- I've spent the last week working nonstop on music. I'm really trying to plan out the rest of the semester well because I still have to travel to a couple places for shows and other business. But it also happens to be my last semester of college so I wanted to finish strong. That's wishful thinking though because at this point as long as I have a passing grade i'm happy.

A couple friends of mine invited me to this family/friends dinner at the end of the week. It's Dani and Emmyn. Me and Em used to hangout all the time because we toured with the same band, then when he met Dani we all would hangout. I'm happy we are starting to hang again i kinda missed it. I don't know how I feel about going to the dinner though because it's Dan's family and I just found out that they're a huge family. I don't know any of them. Except for Lauren I guess, we did randomly hangout which i'm still not sure what that was. We haven't talked since so I would guess it was a one time thing.
