Chapter 13

Lauren's POV

Today is one of  the last of practices before we leave for our Chicago show. We leave this Saturday. But Daniel is joining his friends on tour this week because his spring break starts. So he leaves Wednesday, which is tomorrow. Luckily he will be in Chicago on the night of our performance because he has a show there the night before. Hopefully we get to the city on time for his show on Saturday, but knowing my family they can make any trip double the time because we make so many stops! But i'm really hoping we can make it because I haven't seen him play since the night we met. He's never seen me perform either so i'm kinda nervous that he's gonna be seeing me. Well, i'm nervous before every performance anyway, but this isn't helping.

We are at kath and lisa's house practicing, Emmyn and Max (emmyn's friend not kath's bf) are here too since they are playing as our band. We are running through our set for the second time, but thankfully we're on the last song so it's almost over. Once we finished I walked to the kitchen to get some water and I hear dani yelling from a distant. I walked back to the room and I see her looking at my phone.

Dani: Look guys, boy daniel is texting lauren!! And he has a heart by his contact name!!

She held up my phone and I went over and grabbed it from her hand.

Me: Why are you looking through my phone?

Dani: Im not. I was just trying to look at the time!

I rolled my eyes at her and then the questions started coming in.

Kath: So how is that going?

Me: What?

Lisa: She's asking about boy daniel, plimpy

Me: It's going good...

Amy: Well I think it's going more than "good" , you've  hung out with him like everyday for the past two months.

Christina: OMG and you're still not oficial yet. Sounds sketchy to me.

Me: Who said we weren't oficial?

All their eyes widened and they all looked at me with excitement.

Lisa: NO WAY ARE YOU SERIOUS!!?

Kath: LAURIE HAS A BOYFRIEND!?

Christina: WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN!?

Dani: Wait that's so fun we can go on double dates now!!

Amy: Dang im really the only single one now...

We all laughed at amy's response. I was overwhelmed by how they reacted but at the same time i'm not surprised.

Me: Guys calm down, we both knew we liked each other, we just had to talk before we moved forward. But after we both opened up he asked me to be his girlfriend.

Kath: Awww that's so sweet i'm so happy for you guys!

Christina: Well I want to meet this guy.

Me: Ok you will eventually.

Lisa: Why are you being so serious about this chris hahaha.

Christina: Lauren has been hurt so much in the past, I just want to meet him and you know... ask the boy some questions.

Amy: omg christina

Christina: But for what it's worth you do seem really happy lately, so I have a feeling i'll like him.

She came over with a small smile and gave me a hug. After a second she quickly pulled away and started walking back to her laptop.

Christina: Alright ladies enough of that! Let's go over some last minute details for this weekend.
