Luna's POV
It had been a full thirty minutes since the event had started. All the people In here screamed class and luxury, from their expensive dresses and suits to the jewelry that hung on their necks.
I'm telling you, a single shoe alone from one of the ladies here could last me a lifetime without working.
Literally.
I picked up a tray of champagne glasses that were filled halfway with the gold bubbly liquid.
Walking in these hills was killing me but after sometime I got used to it and could now walk with ease.
I balanced the tray on my hand as I walked through to the corner of the lounge that was next to the hallway.
There standing was Sin and some other rich dudes, the thing that caught my attention though was that he was actually socialising with people. Then again he could be faking it cause for as long as I've known him 'which is two weeks' I've never seen him as a social person.
Though through these conversations he had with people he was keen on one thing, not once, not even for a millisecond did he laugh or even try to smile.
And that's all I needed in order to prove that yes, indeed he was faking it. I moved towards them not spilling the tray on my hand. Arriving there I gave each of them a drink.
I felt a stare on me, one that I had grown utterly familiar of. Ignoring it I heard a man say.
"You have quite the girls on your staff hey Sin? Ya sure they don't give you some extra services?" Asked the man I handed the drink to and I saw him examining me.
"I'm sorry but if you didn't notice maids aren't my type" Sin replied in a cold and careless tone as he tilted a glass of whisky into his lips.
As I picked up the tray I felt a knot in my stomach at his words. I don't know why but for some reason his words had stung really deep.
I walked out of their side with a tray in my hands, only to have someone wrap their hands around my waist and pull me towards the hall way and backing me to the wall.
I almost let out a scream before I noticed who the person was.
"What are you doing here!?" I asked bewildered.
"It's getting boring ya know, you have to come up with a new greeting for me" he said with a small smile on his lips.
"Well it ain't my fault that you keep coming here uninvited."
"So now I need an invite to see my girlfriend?"
"No dammit! You know what I mean!"
I said a bit annoyed."Yes okay I know babe, I'm sorry but you know I'd do anything to see you" he said slightly teasing me by pinching my cheek.
That made me smile.
That's the reason why I agreed on dating him, he makes me feel normal even though I know that Gail and my entire identity that I lived by here was all fake.
I also adored the fact that he loved me though I don't know if I could reciprocate those feelings of his, precisely why I agreed on us dating. That way I can actually develop feelings for him as the relationship goes forward.
"Can I lean in now?" He asked.
I didn't nod I just started kissing him and placed my hands on his neck.
The kiss was soft, he tasted really sweet. His hands were on my waist as the kiss went on.
