Sin's POV

Bang!

The sound was so vigorous that everyone heard it.
It wasn't just any sound, it was the sound of a gun going off and it was what had cut off me and CK's current meeting.

The sound had caught me off guard but as for him, he wasn't fazed.
In that moment my mind ran off to one person.

Gail.

As I was in my seat I tried to brush off the feeling of something being wrong and the need to go and check if the person on my mind right now as ok but I failed, gruesomely.

"Excuse me." I said getting up only for CK to stop me.

"We're not done here Grey, what's the rush anyway." CK said as he displayed a knowing smile.

If that wasn't confirmation that he knew something that I didn't then I don't know what is.

"The fuck did you do." I asked him with aggression in my voice.

"Me, well I just took care of a little problem but that shouldn't be an issue to you." CK said calmly with amusement displayed in his eyes.

I tried calming myself down but my instincts kept on pressing on something being wrong. Failing to brush off the feeling I abruptly got up and left the room in search of the woman that I brought with me tonight.

As I walked through the hallways, the first place that I checked for Gail in was the table that we were seated on but to no avail, I didn't find her.

Looking around was just a waste of my time since everyone in the room was there minding their own business as if they hadn't heard the gunshot. Then again most of the people in this room were also nearly as dangerous as CK and the gunshots wouldn't be anything new to then.

I was the only one bothered by it but I was sure that nobody picked up on that.

Pulling out my phone from my pocket, I dialed up Gail's phone.
It rang for some time before going to voicemail.

Damnit Gail, I thought you were smarter than this.

My mind was racing as I walked up to a security guard.

"Mr Grey, how may I help you?" He asked.

"The woman who I came with tonight, have you seen her?"

"Oh yes. She went upstairs towards the rooftop" The guards answered.

I immediately went upstairs. Question on why the hell she would go to the rooftop flooded my mind.

Opening the door to the roof, I First looked around and I saw nobody.
I then walked further and towards the edge.

Still there was nothing until I suddenly looked down and my heart nearly stopped as I saw her.

She was hanging on to one of the stone window framed on the building and I could clearly see that she was hanging on for dear life.

I felt something heat up withing my chest and I could feel the terror of what could possibly happen.

"Gail!" I scram out for her.

Her head immediately shot up and our eyes locked. If I had time I would be able to decipher the many emotions swirling in her emerald gaze but I didn't and the only present right now was fear.

We both knew that if she let go of the grin the had on that window frame it would be sudden death.

I thought about reaching down for her but she was too far down for that.
