Luna's POV
Holy shit!
Green and brown.
Those were the colors of each of my eyes.
As I stared directly into the mirror. They looked mismatched. My heart started pounding as my left eye was now bare of the green contact lense that covered it, bare of the one of the few things that separated me from Luna Winters.
In panic I immediately stopped what I was doing and looked down onto the bar stand instead of the mirror, I stole a glance at it though as I checked whether Ms Orifa had seen anything. To my luck she was immersed in something on her phone which seemed to frustrated her, judging form the creases that formed on her forehead from time to time.
My eyes then quickly skimmed the top of the stand hurriedly before Sin could finish his call.
"Excuse me, do you perhaps need help with handling my drink?" Asked the woman without looking away from her phone.
"No ma'am, I'm bringing it." I replied still not facing the mirror.
Shit.
I wasn't finding my lense. I registered that whatever must've popped out of my eye earlier was the lense. I stepped back a little and started skimming the ground around where I was standing, to my luck, it was there on the ground.
I did a double take behind me before bending over and picking the lense up.
Relief washed over me and I prayed that all the cleaning that the staff of this house does on these floors would pay off because due to the situation I was in, I wasn't gonna be able to clean my lense with solution.
May I please not go blind.
I popped the green contact straight into my eye just in time because Sin immediately came back to his seat, clearly having finished his call.
"Miss October, aren't you taking a little too long." Sin asked as he observed that I was still fixing the requested drink.
"My apologies Sir." I let out.
I quickly put some ice into the glass and went back to Sin's desk where he and his guest sat and where I'd placed the tray with juice and I poured the woman her juice before handing it to her.
"Sorry for the delay ma'am." I told Ms Orifa.
She merely nodded and took a sip from the glass, still clearly in engrossed in whatever she was doing on her phone.
I looked back and I accidentally found my self catching my employer's gaze, which was already on me.
He studied me for a quick second and I immediately tore my eyes away from him.
"You seem rather disturbed Miss October, is there a problem?" Sin asked before I could take off and leave the room and I was shocked.
This man.
This man was either immaculately good at reading a person or he had just gotten good at reading me because I'd sworn that I'd put on a very good face to hide the shock that I'd just got a few minutes ago.
Or maybe.... No. There was no way that he could've seen what happened.
I swallowed hard.
"No sir, I'm perfectly fine." I said plastering on the fakest smile I could muster at this moment.
"If you'll excuse me." I said and before anything else could be observed, I immediately made my way out of the study.
