Ok so this may be a little strange but I read this book and the way the protagonists cared for each other sent me down a spiral. So I hope you enjoy this as I'm trying something new.
Sorry this is short, but i love y'all and hope you enjoy!

It was the morning after Halloween. The night had been blissful on its own, but the crisp sunrise brought triumphs that dusk could not capture.
The boy had awoken with the extravagant colors of the sky. Blue, orange, and pink with a hint of fog decorated the outdoors, reminding him as he looked out the window that October was now behind them and November was just beginning. The previous day had been a Wednesday, so he knew school awaited him in just a few mere hours.
Then, he glanced to his left, finding Clementine, so deep in sleep that she seemed frozen in time, the only movements her soft and slow exhales. He had this exact same feeling when she allowed him to sleep at her house, the feeling of his heart swelling with an endless amount of compliments to bestow upon the girl once she regained consciousness. He wanted to shower her with affection the second she opened her eyes and make her feel like the only girl in the world. In times like these, he just couldn't take his eyes off of her.
Around her, he felt high, intoxicated on her allure. He was so fixated on her that he would do crazy things, like snap at her and Oliver, or slamming said ginger into the lockers with the same passion he would use to knock back shots and beer. But if she was ever taken away from him, that's when he would go absolutely insane. He would never hurt her, he was just simply addicted to her.
And she was always on his mind, too, occupying it more than school or baseball. He would think about what he could say to get her to fall in love with him. Sometimes he would imagine life after high school, where they might live together and he might finally have someone who cared, some form of motivation. Hell, she was already his motivation since he knew that seeing a positive grade would always make her light up and she would be so proud of him.
Sure, there had been plenty of other girls. They'd flick their hair and bat their eyes and do sexual things with him but none of them could hold a candle to Clementine. Around her, he didn't want to be the asshole he was to everyone else, he simply wanted to smile and make her happy. In fact, one of his favorite things was seeing her lips curl up and her eyes squint as she grinned.
And he longed to see a side of her she kept hidden from the world. The closest he had gotten was when he discovered she wore reading glasses and he found that utterly adorable. He wanted her to open up the way he had craved to do so himself. If he knew her at least one level deeper than everyone else, he would be insanely happy. He just wanted her to be comfortable in her own skin and let her know she didn't have to hide instead of living in blissful ignorance around her, assuming that he knew her when her true personality was unknown.
And that's when it hit him.
These thoughts he had about her proved one thing he wasn't sure if he wanted to be true;
He was in love with Clementine.
Louis hated feeling this way when he couldn't express it to her.
He wanted to tell her, right when she greeted the morning. He didn't know how much longer he could take waiting, especially when he thought he noticed the minor struggles of their relationship.
It was hard, but she was worth it. Even if while he waited he met another girl, he would go back to her, time after time.
