Hi everyone! I'm really sorry it's been so long. Lots of schoolwork and with finals this coming week, I'll be briefly out of commission.
Nonetheless, hope you enjoy this chapter!

Forgetting.
It was a common theme between both Clem and Louis at the moment.
Clem wanted to escape from her relationship problems, so she allowed Louis to convince her to accompany him at a party. There, she would be comforted by her inevitable indulgence in alcohol and party games.
And of course, Louis.
She knew her best friend would always assist her no matter what.
So here she was, climbing into the boy's car so he could drive her to the party. There, she planned to indulge in all the bonuses of the atmosphere.
"So," Louis coughed, clearing the silence. "How are things with Oliver? After all that happened with you guys?"
Clem hesitated, tensing up ever so slightly.
"I don't want to talk about it."
But she did, she desperately wanted to confess her unsure feelings towards her 'beloved' boyfriend.
"Alright, we don't have to." He responded. "How's AJ?"
"Suffering through after school detention. Only one more week." She answered with a grin.
"Courtesy of Mrs. Butt-Face." He said and she chuckled before turning away, looking out the window.
The deep color of the golden sun shone onto her bronze skin, her amber eyes in the light turned the shade of honey. And all he could think about was how much he wanted to kiss her.
The way she twisted her curly ringlets of hair around her slender finger, how she smelled unmistakably like sweet cherry blossoms, and fuck, she was perfect.
"Is this the house?" She spoke up, pointing her sharp acrylic at a home that was overflowing with people accompanied by the thump of music.
"Looks that way." As Clem was preparing to exit the car, Louis put his hand on her shoulder.
In his head, he wanted to ask her to promise she would stay safe. Halloween night still constantly replayed in his head and he would hate to see her like that again. Sure, in a way he was being a bit hypocritical, but Clem was different. If he succumbed to the pull of alcohol, it wouldn't matter, but he couldn't let Clem follow him.
However, he understood that sometimes, you just needed to escape.
"Ready to get fucked up?"
"Hell yeah." She responded and smiled the way he adored, scrunching her nose up. While he enjoyed it, he simultaneously felt his heart crack and ache for her.

An undetermined amount of time later, Clem was ready to leave.
As soon as she and Louis had walked in, they grabbed drinks and went straight for the dance floor.
Clem was having fun until she lost Louis. It happened as she finished the latest contents of her solo cup; she turned around and he wasn't there. Even in her inhibited state of mind, she was worried.
So she stumbled around the house, using the walls for support as she called his name. When the downstairs floor was absent of his presence, she wobbled her way up.
