"But dad-"
"Clem, you've gotta do it," Lee said, his tone blunt.
"What if I have plans? I might want to go to the movies-" Clem laid her palms on the table, distressed.
"Both of us know that you hate going to the movies." Her father sighed. "It's just one night of babysitting and we'll be back in the morning."
Clem was silent in response. She loved her brother, sure, but the idea of spending several hours with him and one of his hyper friends was not an ideal way to spend her Friday night.
"Tell you what, invite one of your friends over. Violet or that kid Louis, he seems nice."
"Really?"
"But no Oliver, that's for sure."
"Deal." Clem ran for the stairs, hearing her father shout a thank you as she took the steps two at a time. She leapt onto her bed once it was in sight, grabbing her phone.

You could come and bring AJ, that way I'd still be there to help you when it comes to his craziness
Clementine 🍊
Deal, you weirdo
Louis 💚
Ah Clemmy, you wound me
Clementine 🍊
My point has been proven; You're a huge dork
Louis 💚

Louis 💚
So you like Clemmy better?
Clementine 🍊
Would it be so bad to say yes?
Clementine 🍊
