Confronting Cadenza

Twilight stormed up to Cadence a few hours later, the others following behind her.

"Cadence!" She yelled, drawing the attention of nearby people, including Shining Armor.

"Yes Twiligh-" Cadence was cut off as Twilight prodded her in the chest.

"What have you been doing to my brother you evil girl? You've been hurting him, don't lie! I saw you cast a spell on him to hypnotize him! You think i don't know what 'Ypoton Elenchomou' translates to?" Twilight demanded, and Cadence whimpered

"Wh-what are you talking about Twilight, I never said that, i-it was a healing spell, I promise!" Cadence exclaimed

"Please, you must have mistranslated what I said! Please, leave me alone!" Cadence sobbed, running away down the hall. Shining Armor turned to glare at his sister.

"Twilight! why would you say that about Cadence? She is a normal person just like the rest of us! She is not hypnotizing me, and she is not evil. What is wrong with you Twilight? Maybe you did mistranslate the spell, because she is not doing any of that. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go comfort Cadence." Shining Armor stalked away, fists clenched in anger. Twilight turned to them

"I don't understand. I never mistranslate things, especially not magic spells." Twilight said 

"Maybe ya did, just this once, 'cause that didn't sound evil." AJ said, and Rainbow nodded

"Oh the poor dear, come on girls, we had better go see if she's okay." Rarity said, leading them after Cadence.

Twilight, however, collapsed on the floor and began to cry. They found Shining Armor hanging around a girl's bathroom.

"She's in there, but she won't answer." Shining Armor explained, and Rarity flipped her hair

"Let the ladies handle this Shining dear. Apologies for Twilight's rude behavior, we had no idea she would confront Cadence in such a way." Rarity said, Soarin, Dark Shooter, and Smoke Flare staying outside with Shining Armor.

"Cadence?" Rarity asked

"There's no one here." Daring said, looking around, but then, they heard sobbing.

"Oh, she must just be hiding." Fluttershy said, following the sound. Cadence was curled up in a corner, crying.

"Cadence, are you alright dear?" Rarity asked

"N-no! I never thought Twilight would do that! I thought she liked me!" Cadence sobbed, and the girls began to comfort her. The next day, Starlight came up to them.

"Hey, has anyone seen Twilight? Moondancer and I have been looking but we couldn't find her anywhere." Starlight told them

"Strange, we haven't seen her either." Rarity said. They were outside, helping Hagrid in his garden, to set up for his next lesson.

"She's probably just curled up in her dorm, feelin' foolish fer what she did." AJ commented, lifting up a basket she had just filled with some of the vegetables.

"Or she's trapped in those tunnels with the real Cadence, trying to find a way out." Pinkie babbled, before plucking a strawberry from a bush and eating it.

"You're kidding, right?" Spitfire asked, wiping sweat off her forehead

"Um, totally, it's not like I have some magical power to know when something like that's happening!" Pinkie responded, smiling hastily.

"We should look around, just in case." Fluttershy whispered, and they all agreed

"But after we finish helping Hagrid, right?" Fleetfoot asked, and they all nodded, getting back to work.

Okay, so the part about Pinkie guessing what's actually happening is a reference to her Pinkie Sense. But the reason the others don't realize she wasn't joking is for three reasons: 

1. They still don't believe Twilight 

2. They've never heard of Pinkie's Pinkie Sense before this, and don't know that her being able to guess this sort of thing is a magic she has 

3. To quote Mad Munchkin from she and Commander Firebrand's review of The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows: "it's really hard to tell when Pinkie's being sincere or not." The reason being she's normally so random and crazy, her friends can't always tell when she's being serious.
