After they'd finished, Starlight led them away to the castle, where they looked all over for Twilight. They were only able to find Shining Armor talking with Cadence.

"Hey, ya'll seen Twilight?" Applejack asked

"No, thank goodness." Cadence said, a little huffily

"What's going on with you Cadence?" Rainbow asked, raising an eyebrow

"It's Mi Amore Cadenza to you, and I'm just upset about Twilight." Cadence snapped.

She then turned away from them.

"You never asked us to call you that before." Spitfire said

"Alarte Ascendare" Cadence pointed her wand over her shoulder and sent Spitfire flying.

She was flung into the air and hit the wall, letting out a shriek before falling unconscious. The group ran to her and the Gryffindors carried her back to their common room. Fleetfoot held Spitfire gently in her arms as they talked. The fiery girl sat in Fleetfoot's lap, head lying on her chest, still unconscious.

"You don't think that Twi was on to something, do you?" Rainbow asked

"Maybe, I've been looking through a Greek Spell Translation book I got from the library. It looks like  that spell really does translate to 'under my control'. Twilight didn't mistranslate it." Smoke said, showing them a book he had in his schoolbag.

"Hey, remember what Pinkie said about the tunnels you guys were lost in? Maybe she's in there, we didn't check." Soarin said

"But the only way inside that we know of is outside the Headmistress Office, and you need a password to get in. I bet Headmistress Celestia changed it after Professor Potter let us into her office." Rainbow said, as Spitfire stirred, rubbing the side of her head.

After they filled her in on their conversation, Spitfire looked thoughtful.

"There's got to be more than one entrance though, right? I mean, if the only entrance was next to the Headmistriss office, then how was Luna able to get in there without Headmistress Celestia noticing?" Spitfire asked

"Yeah, but where would they be?" Rainbow wondered

"We could tap all the wallth until we find a hollow area." Fleetfoot said sarcastically, as Professor Potter entered the common room.

"Miss Flare, Miss Glimmer alerted me to your incident with Miss Cadenza, and asked I check on you, are you alright?" Professor Potter asked

"Yes, just a little shaken." Spitfire replied, as the others kept talking

"Be serious Fleet, there's got to be a way to find more openings to the tunnels. think, we need to find Twilight." Rainbow said, continuing their earlier conversation. Professor Potter looked up

"Miss Sparkle is missing? I believe I have just the thing, one moment."

He left the common room and returned with a battered old piece of parchment. (yes, it's what you think it is!)

"An old piece of paper?" Rainbow asked

"It's not just an old paper. I received this in my third year, from two very close friends of mine, twins, not unlike you and Miss Do. Identical pranksters, Fred and George, my friend Ron Weasley and Professor Weasley's older brothers. They gave it to me, but in fact, it was my father's, taken from him by Argus Filch when he was in school."

Professor Potter explained, unrolling it and pulling out his wand.

"I solemnly swear I am up to no good." he muttered, tapping the paper with his wand.

Slowly, words began to appear on the parchment "Messieurs Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs proudly present: The Marauders Map."

Then, an entire map of Hogwarts took the place of the words, stretching out to the beginning of the Forbidden Forest, then stopping.

"Whoa." they all said, and Professor Potter smiled

"I would like this back, but only once you've used it to locate Miss Sparkle. These secret passages are bound to connect to the tunnels somehow. Perhaps this blocked one was the result of a cave in within the tunnels. But don't try the one under the Whomping Willow, it just leads to the Shrieking Shack, and this one only comes out in the basement of Honeydukes in Hogsmeade." Professor Potter said, pointing to a few passages marked on the map.

"You're going to let us do this alone?" Soarin asked

"Of course. Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and I always snuck off without permission, and we accomplished some quite legendary things because of it." Professor Potter replied, winking, then left.

The kids poured over the map for a while, gazing at all the dots and trying to find Twilight's.

"The tunnels aren't mapped here, maybe she's in one of them." Daring suggested

"Then let's try this passage behind this tapestry, come on, we can grab the others on the way." Rainbow said, rolling up the paper and tucking it in her robes.

They found the others and each took a different passage. But they didn't find anything. The group gathered on the seventh level, and recounted what they'd found.

"Nothing." Starlight sighed

"Nuthin fer us neither" Applejack added

"Hahahaha!" Pinkie laughed

"What are you laughing at." Rainbow asked with a disappointed sigh

"This painting, it's so funny!" Pinkie said, and they all looked at the painting.

It was of a man teaching trolls to dance. It was going rather badly, the trolls were smacking him into the ground with clubs.

"Pinkie darling, that's not helpful. We need to find where Twilight is." Rarity muttered, pacing.

The others paced with her, thinking about Twilight, worried. Then, a door appeared on the wall.

"Maybe we should try in there?" Soarin suggested, having noticed and stopped walking.

"What the heck?" Rainbow said

"Where did that come from?" Fluttershy asked nervously

"And what's behind it?" Daring added

"Only one way to find out." Starlight replied, reaching out and grabbing the handle. She began to pull it open.

Sorry about the cliffhanger, you'll find out what happens next chapter. And yes, they now have access to the Marauders Map and the Room of Requirement.
