Chloe’s POV (Picture of Chloe on side.)

I slowly wake up and see my dad walking into my room.

“Good morning, sweetheart.” He greets me.

“Good morning, daddy.” I reply, getting out of bed and kissing him on the cheek.

“Get dressed, mom’s making breakfast.” He says.

“Oh daddy, I’m going out with Nicki to get coffee.” I tell him.

“Alright, well your mother and I will head off to work then. Pay attention and study hard, alright pumpkin.” He says.

“Of course, daddy.” I reply.

I head over to my closet, grabbing something to wear. Once I’m dressed, I put on some makeup and straighten my hair. I grab my phone, purse, backpack, and keys. I head out to my car and turn it on. I start blasting some Green Day while I drove to school.

As I walk to my locker, I see Jake, my ex boyfriend, staring at me. The only reason we broke up was because my parents found out that we were together and they forbade me from having a boyfriend. They wanted me to focus on school and were always telling me that boys were just a distraction, my daddy wanted me to go to Harvard and be a lawyer. I just wanted to live my life the way I wanted to without my parents always telling me what to do. I hated being a good girl, but I knew if my daddy ever found out what I was up to behind his back, he would lock me in my room forever. That is until I went off to Harvard and became a lawyer. Then, he would probably try to find me a suitable man and force me to marry him.

I talk to Jake for a few minutes then head to French class.

Class seems to drag on forever and the bell finally rings. I head to my locker shove my things in, grabbing my books for my next class. I then head to the cafeteria to meet Nicki.

I grab a bagel then go find our table.

“Hey Nicki.” I greet her.

“Hey.” She replies while she eats her breakfast pizza and drinks her Mountain Dew.

I run over to a vending machine to get a Dr. Pepper then go back to the table to eat my bagel and drink my caffeinated beverage.

After brunch, I head to class with Nicki beside me. She’s all I’ve ever had to be honest. My parents only ever want what’s best for them. They care about my grades, what college I get into, and if I marry a successful man. It sucks really, my own parents don’t even care about me and what I want. Nicki is the only one that really cares.

School finally ends and I head home.

As soon as I get home, I head up to my room. I work on my homework until dinner. We eat dinner and my parents ask me about school. If I’m getting good grades, if I’m studying hard enough, if I’m focusing on my studies and not boys.

After dinner, I go up to my room, fed up with my parents. I tell them I’m going off to Nicki’s for the night to study. But I know I’m going to spend the rest of the night fangirling about 5 Seconds of Summer.
