Chloe’s POV

It had been a few months since that day, Michael continued to spiral out of control. I wasn’t getting better, just slowly getting worse. I slowly get out of bed, seeing if anyone was home. I slowly and carefully head to the kitchen. I grab and glass and head to the sink.

I hear my phone ringing and my head starts to spin. I drop the glass and try to stay standing. I grip onto the counter, but that doesn’t help. I fall to the ground and slowly get sucked into the darkness. Just before I go unconscious, I hear someone shout my name.

Luke’s POV

As I unlock the door, I hear a phone ringing and a glass drop. I quickly unlock the door and run up the stairs. I hear a thud and rush into the kitchen. I see Chloe lying on the floor, out cold.

“Chloe!” I shout.

I drop to the floor and set her head in my lap and start to cry.

“Chloe please!” I beg.

I take out my phone and dial 911, putting it on speaker.

Hello this is 911, what’s your emergency?

I need an ambulance right away, my friend, she passed out. She’s not responding to me.

Sir, I need you calm down and speak slowly. We are tracking your call now.

Please hurry, she’s really weak.

Sir, can you explain how this happened.

She- her boyfriend ran off and she refuses to get out of bed. She won’t even eat, even if we bring her food. She just lays in bed and cries. The only thing she’ll drink is water. I was out and figured she wouldn’t get out of bed. But, I found her passed out in the kitchen with a broken glass near her. I should have never left her!

Sir, an ambulance is on the way! Would you like to stay on the line?

No, thank you.

I hang up and call Ashton, hoping he picks up. It goes straight to voicemail. I decide to just send him a text.

To: Ash

Call me when you get this, Chloe’s in the hospital!

The ambulance arrives and I hop in. I decide to call Michael, but it goes straight to voicemail.

I don’t care if your dead drunk or dealing with a hangover, you need to get to LA ASAP. Chloe’s in the hospital!

I hang up and we get to the hospital. The wheel her back and hook her up to a bunch of tubes. They kick me out to the waiting room and Ashton calls.

A: Luke, what’s going on? What happened?

L: I don’t know, but Chloe must have gotten out of bed to get some water. When I got home, I found her passed out in the kitchen with a broken glass laying by her.

A: Okay, we’re on our way!

I hang up and wait for news on Chloe. A few minutes later, a doctor comes out and I practically jump out of my seat.

“She’s very malnourished and her body is close to shutting down. If you had brought her in any later, she wouldn’t have been able to be saved. We’ve put her in a coma so her has body to recover. She’ll be okay, but it’ll take a while for her to recover from this. We are doing everything we can to save her, but we expect her to pull through.” He tells me.

“Thank you, doctor.” I reply

Ashton runs into the waiting room with Nicki and Calum following behind him.

“Has the doctor come to talk to you?” He asks frantically.

“Yeah, he said she’s very malnourished and her body is close to shutting down. Any later and they wouldn’t have been able to save her. He said that she’ll be in a coma for a while, so her body has time to recover, but he expects her to pull through.” I tell him.

“God, this is so fucked up! Have you called Michael?” He asks.

“Yes, whether he comes or not is his choice.” I reply.

We wait in the waiting room for anymore news, each of us falling asleep, tired and emotionally drained.
