Sorry I have waited so long to get this out! I've been having issues with my house because the air conditioner has been broken. So it's been really hot in my house.

I was already late with the update, so I decided to have two updates today as my "sorry" to y'all.

Hope you enjoy!!

"V-Vanya what happened!?" I quaked, hurrying to open the door so Vanya could get through.

Her hair was all over the place, clothes torn and ripped. She had scratches along her arms and her face was swollen and red.

She looked like she'd been put through hell.

I thought about who could've done this to her. Then one name popped in my mind.

Alex!

"Did Alex do this!" I yelled, making her shake with fear, so I quickly suppressed my rage trying to calm Vanya. She nodded softly and sobbed. "I-It w-was my m-mom's b-b-boyfriend." Vanya trembled with her words, she breathed in slowly causing her to hiccup a little, but in the end she calmed herself.

"He tried t-to...rape me"

All of my insides boiled up into a steaming hot rage. I grabbed Vanya by her arm softly making sure not to hurt her too much. I walked over to the keyring where we kept our keys for our multiple cars and took one off randomly.

Good thing my parents went on their date night tonight.

I opened the door walking out, I pressed the button to signal which car we would be taking. I opened the door and went to the passenger side helping Vanya in before I walked to the drivers side and getting in the car myself.

We made it to the police station, walking in we saw two people at the front desk and some were walking around with files in their hands.

I walked us up to one of the desks with an officer all ready there. "Um...I'd like to file an attempted rape" I said trying to stay calm for Vanya's sake, but in actuality I'm terrified of policemen.

"Is there a victim here who could provide a statement?" The old gruff policemen monotoned out scratching the end of his nose, looking at some papers on his desk. Vanya stepped out in front of me, making the officer look up in return. "You're the victim?" He stated more than questioned. Vanya nodded, the officer got up and signaled Vanya to follow him. "Stay here so you can give her a ride. You're her boyfriend, right?" He asked, which really stumped me but I nodded my head anyway and sat down waiting for Vanya.

What are we?

I thought we had multiple times where we could've been together for real. She has told me so much about herself and nobody knows what she goes through on the daily basis. We've been through so many things this year, after she tried to push me away I stayed with her.

I never left.

Why wasn't I there to help her. We were suppose to be working on our song for the Talent Show, but me and my stupid antics got in the way of that. I made her upset and she couldn't deal with it.

It's my fault, I should have listened to her. I knew what she was going through, but I didn't acknowledge it.

Why am I so stupid sometimes?

Maybe if I paid more attention to her feelings this wouldn't have happened. I hate feeling likes this. It doesn't matter though because I know it's my fault.

I sat there in my own deep sea of guilt, resting the palms of my hands on my cheeks. Sitting down on the uncomfortable chair at the police station.

Just thinking and wondering what I could have done to help prevent this situation.

There was a lot of things I could've done.

I stood and looked towards the door Vanya had just left out of. She walked out with the police officer and two others.

She quickly walked up to me and gave me a hug. "Thank You" She whispered softly in my ear. I hummed in response holding her tightly in my arms.

"Hey son, can I talk to for a minute?" The officer who took Vanya for the statement asked. I nodded my head and told Vanya I'd be back soon. We walked over to the corner to talk with the officer. "You keep her safe, okay? She has a lot going on so make sure stays somewhere other then her house at this moment." I nodded at the his response. We talked some more, he asked questions and I answered them. "Okay then, have a goodnight" He said and I thanked him and left with Vanya back to my house.

We drove back to my house with the music turned on some soft guitar chords and the windows down to feel the cool breeze blowing in the distance. I looked over to my right only to see Vanya asleep, leaning on the door with her hand holding her right cheek.

I sighed and looked back at the road.

I parked into the driveway and sighed once seeing my parents car in the driveway as well.

Here goes the lecture, but I think they'll be a little bit lenient this time. "Vanya wake up. Vanya..." I pressed, nudging her softly. She stirred, stretching and yawning opening her tired eyes slowly. "Are we back?" She asked groggily. I nodded my head while saying an audible 'yes' and got out of the car. Then, I walked around to Vanya's side opening the door for her.

She stepped out and walked to my front door. "It's locked" she sighed as she stepped away from the door waiting for me to unlock it.

As soon as I stepped into the house the lights went on making two very angry parents storm at me in there pajamas. "WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN! We've been calling and texting only to find that you left your phone here! I don't mind you taking the car, but you need to let us know where you're going." Vanya stepped out from behind me as my mother's words came to an end. "Sorry Jessie it was kinda my fault." Vanya shyly countered.

My mom took a quick scan of Vanya's clothing and appearance and softened her gaze. "Don't be sorry. Gosh, what happened to you!?" My quaked eagerly.

We sat on the couch and explained everything that happened.

By the end my mom was crying and hugging Vanya, telling her how sorry she was that this had happened to her. I honestly thought my mom was the one who almost got rapped with the way she was acting. But she cared for Vanya, I could tell.

"You aren't going back to that hell hole, you're going to live with us!"
