~ 21 ~
"Where'd you go so early this morning?" Forest asked as he stepped into the kitchen, seeing me propped up on one of the multiple bars stools standing in a row.

He'd just gotten home from school and I've been sitting here all day. Just reminiscing the good old days, the days that I'd spend with my dad when he was still alive. I cried and ate ice cream, but it didn't fill the heartache that still resided within me.

Yet it did make me throw up.

"I went to get coffee and have just a clearing of my mind. When of course at the shop Alex saw me and the memories resurfaced, hard." I sighed out, stirring the tea I've had sitting in a mug for probably 30 minutes.

It was surely cold by now. I wasn't gonna drink it though because, ew. Cold tea when it's suppose to be hot is no good. I watched the green and brown swirl inside of the mint green/pink mug. It might have sounded gross, but it soothed me and put me in this sort of trance. "-nya. Vanya!" Forest called out making me jump from my stilled mind. "Yes?"

"Are you okay? You've been out of it since I got home." He laced with worry, which made his dark green eyes soften to a light yellow/green hue. "Yea, I just...I don't know." I want to be able to tell him. I want to share my secrets with him and I want him to be my real actual boyfriend instead of a fake one. I finally made up my mind after such a long time of telling myself to forget about it.

It's now or never!

"Forest, do you want to go out somewhere? Like today maybe." I asked and he smiled widely, it made my heart fill with happiness. "Wow, Yea! Do you want my parents to come too. That'd be awesome it could be like a family ni-" I cut him off.

He wasn't getting it.

"I meant as a-a...date" I finally huffed out.

His eyes were wide open and looked like they were about to pop out of his sockets. This sight made my heart drop, he wouldn't like me like that, ever. "It's okay to sa-"

"Yes" He whispered barely enough for me to listen. But the room had gone silent. You could even hear a pen drop on the floor or crickets making that annoying click-clacking noise.

Either way the room was deadly quiet.

"Okay, well since I asked, be ready at 6:00 on the dot." I stated firmly, leaving him down in the kitchen.

I went upstairs and made it to my room, then I checked the time to see how many hours I had to get ready.

A hour and a half.

I walked to the bathroom and turned on the shower. I washed up, then grabbed a towel from a nearby closet. I wrapped myself around it, drying my body and my hair in the process. Once I finished I searched for m-

MY CLOTHES!

I left them in my room, now I have to walk out into the hallway butt naked, but I still have the towel so not completely naked and who knows maybe Forest is still downstairs or he already went upstairs and he's in his room.

With that thought I wrapped the towel around me, tucking it inside itself and walking out of the bathroom. I walked down the hall inching closer to my room, when Forest's door opens. He was holding his clothes in one hand and the other was empty.

I stared at him for awhile before I quickly walked to my room, but not before my towel had completely dropped on to the floor.

I crouched down picking the towel up and also somehow accomplishing to hide my body as well. "Sorry" he blushed candy red, running into the bathroom as fast as he could. I sat for moment, taking in the recent events.
