Expect The Unexpected.

Isabel's Pov.

"Alright, so we'll be starting training today in groups of 2" Jason said, pacing.

"Pair up, then wait for my instructions" he added.

I looked around and saw everyone grabbing their partners, when I realized I didn't have one. I doubt anyone would really be my partner since they barely know me.

"Will you be my partner?" I heard a voice I knew all too well say.

"Sure." I muttered. I had no choice, everyone else was already paired up.

Great. Now i'm stuck with Logan as my partner. Seriously, can I have someone else?

'You don't want anyone else' my wolf interrupted. 'You just don't want to admit that you like him'

"Oh yeah? And what makes you think I like him?" I questioned her.

'We growled when Jason pushed our mate yesterday. We didn't like that someone put their hands on our mate.' She clarified.

I huffed. She was right, in a sense. I did like Logan, but only because of the mate bond. I won't go out with him yet because I still don't know anything about him.

"Okay, I want each group to spar with their partner in human form" Jason instructed. "Your wolf will only be as strong as your human. Most of you know this. If your human loses stamina too quickly, then so will your wolf"

A smug smirk made its way across my face when Jason had said we had to fight our partner. That means I was able to fight Logan. This should be funny.

"Why do I have a strange feeling that you really want to hurt me" Logan joked.

I chuckled lightly. "Is that what you think of me?" 

He smiled. "I'm just thinking of all the possibilities. I kind of have my hands tied with you." 

I grinned. "Good. Because i'm not easy to get"

"I love a challenge." He replied, smirking.

We began sparring, me swinging at him, him swinging back, clearly not hard enough to hurt me. To be honest I thought he was holding back. Did he not want to fight me because i'm a girl?

Suddenly, when Logan threw a swift kick my way, I grabbed his leg and flipped him, resulting in him crashing down on the floor. Once he landed, everyone's heads snapped in our direction.

I knelt down. "I'm not weak, yanno. You don't have to hold back. The purpose of this training is for us to get stronger. You aren't helping me by not testing my abilities" I said, extending my hand to help him up.

I expected him to be a bit mad that I sort of just embarrassed him in front of everyone, but he just smiled widely. 

"Logan, man. She just handed you your ass on a silver platter" Brandon joked. "She'll definitely make a great Luna. Hell, she'll be able to keep you in check, haha"

Logan joined in with his laughter. "Yeah, she will." 

I couldn't help but smile at the admiration held in Logan's voice when he agreed with Brandon that I would be a great Luna. Although me and Logan still had tons of things to talk about, it made me feel good that he had that much faith in me, especially after the way I've been treating him.

*After Training*

Logan's Pov.

I sat in the kitchen, laughing and joking with Brandon, Jason, Serena and Vanessa. We were messing with Brandon because he was checking out some girl in the hallway at school earlier this week, and he got so distracted that he walked right into a locker. It was priceless.
