Did I want to tell him the truth? No, but, did I? Yes...

"Olivia, that was the name of my older sister," I say looking down, "She would've turned eighteen today if she was still alive,"

"What happened to her?" Ethan asks,

"Olivia had a traumatic past, which caused her to be in shock. The doctors thought she was slowly recovering, but things got better before it became worse. One night, I was in charge of looking after her. I was only 11 back then, so I wasn't responsible. I turned away from her for a few minutes, and she disappeared. I looked all over the house but I couldn't find her. We contacted the police, and she was later found by a drunk, on the side of the road lifeless" I cry,

"I'm sorry to hear that, Lacey. I didn't know."

"I knew she died because of my irresponsibility to look after her, so I locked myself away from everyone. I used to be social, but after that night I stopped talking to people. I cut connections with all my friends and decided to be homeschooled for a while. I even quit baseball because of this."

"I am really sorry for what happened to your sister, Lacey. What made you move here though?" He asks,

"My parents began having their relationship issues which later made them divorce. My mom got to take me with her to this new house for a new start. I'll be honest, it didn't help." I look away wiping tears from my eyes. Ethan stands up and walks towards me. He puts his arm out and says, "Come on, let's get out of here. I'll help you get a new start." I smile at him, grab his arm and stand up. "Let's go save Henry."

A half an hour passes by, Ethan and I plan out our escape. We both find what we can in the room we're trapped in and collect what we find is useful. I grab the hardest tool I could find and prepare to smash the doorknob. I hold it back and hit the doorknob with speed. The knob breaks off the door, falls to the floor and rolls away to the side.

"Ready?" I ask,

"Always," Ethan answers,

I open the door, and we both creep out of the room. No one seems to be in the hall. We continue to walk. We reach a hallway which had two short sides and one long straight path. Ethan and I look at each other and seem to understand what to do. We both split up and walk to each short side path. Ethan's hallway was short, so he had found nothing. I continue to walk to the end and find nothing. I turn to look at Ethan and signal him that there isn't anything here as well. Ethan looks back with a strange face. Suddenly a hand grabs my mouth and another grabs a hold of me. "Lacey!" Ethan yells. I try to scream and adjust myself, so I can move away, but the person grabbing hold of me takes me into a room, Ethan follows. She throws me to a side as she tries to close the door.

"Will you shut up already?" the mysterious person says, "Do you want them to find us?"

"Well, if you didn't try to hold my mouth shut and drag me into a room, then maybe I would not have screamed.

"Oh please, at least I'm not slow as hell to save my girlfriend," She says sarcastically,

"Hey!" Ethan whines at her, but she sticks her tongue out at him.

"So, who are you?" I ask,

"I am Rosanna Vescovi. I've been living here for over 40 years. I have not seen my family or had contact with anyone for years, so pardon me if I don't behave human like you children. I must stay here until the world above is safe. You children, are the people I have awaited for, you are the child," she looks at me, "who will bring me to my freedom. So, tell me, is the witch gone?"

"Witch?" Ethan and I both ask,

"You two don't know who she is?" We shake our heads.

"She is known as a witch because of what she is capable of. The witch controls people with her mind. She makes them say whatever she wants. Her mind controls their voices and actions. She is wicked and vile, and she goes by the name-"

"Mother..." I interrupt, Rosanna and Ethan look at me. "When Henry was preparing to take us away, he said 'mother', and when I was speaking to my mom, she said 'listen to mother' instead of 'listen to your mother'. Which could only mean, that witch is controlling Henry and my mom. This is her dollhouse, and we are her dolls. We must defeat her to free those two."

Ethan looks at Rosanna, then back at me and says, "Well, what are we waiting for, let's go."
